LuvBug Grant for Veterinarians (LBG)

The LuvBug Grant has been established for veterinarians who have clients in need of help but who do not have access to the internet to apply to IMOM for financial aid.

Veterinarians may apply for a LBG for one specific pet in need on behalf of their client. We will accept that help is needed based on the opinion of the veterinarian.

The maximum LuvBug Grant is $500

Qualifications for the grant:

The pet cannot have already been treated.
If the pet is not spayed or neutered the veterinarian must agree to do so while providing needed treatment or as soon as medically possible.
The veterinarian cannot have received a grant in the past 12 months.
Prior to completing an application, IMOM will need a written estimate to maintain in our files. The estimate should include the cost for spay or neuter if the animal is intact. And the entire estimate should be discounted a minimum of 15%.
The veterinarian must agree to send a copy of the invoice after treatment has been completed so IMOM can send a check via USPS.

Getting paid

If the grant application is approved IMOM will send a Letter of Guarantee, via fax or email, for your files.

Once treatment has been provided a copy of the invoice should be faxed to IMOM. You will receive payment by check via USPS. Checks are normally sent out within 10 days after receipt of invoice.

How to apply

IMOM will need a complete estimate of the costs for treatment. The estimate must be on your letterhead.
