Pet name: Sunshine and SaraJane

This handsome guy is Sunshine.  He is the sunshine in my life!

When my LuvBug went to Rainbow Bridge I needed another Dally to love.  Not to replace Bug - we all know you can never replace the one who leaves you.

Sunny was born in TX and was dumped along with all of his littermates.  They all had parvo and only 4 of them survived.  When he was well enough to travel he went to Sara Haddon's rescue in IL.  I adopted him in February of 2004 when he was only 5-6 months old.  Just two weeks after Bug went to The Bridge.  He brought some much needed sunshine into my life.

Sunny was diagnosed at U of Penn in March 2007 with protein losing neuropathy - a kidney disease.  I'm very happy to report that we have it under control with meds.  I'm determined that my boy will live a very long life.

Sweet SaraJane also was adopted from Sara Haddon when it became quite obvious that Sunny needed another Dally to play with.

SaraJane started life as a pet store puppy.  When the people who bought her tried to return her after only a few days, the store would not take her back.  She was taken to a shelter and soon was adopted.  Once again she was returned - and adopted - and returned.  The last time she was returned to the shelter would have been her final time.  She would have been euthanized because she was considered unadoptable.  She was just a puppy.  I guess none of the people who had her realized that puppies are not born housebroken, and they will chew anything they can get in their mouths!

Someone saw her in the shelter and contacted Sara.  She went to Sara and then came to me.  She is just the sweetest girl!  She lives to give kisses!

SaraJane is Daddy's girl!
