Introducing... LuckyDog! He had a rough start to life, but in February of 1994,
LuckyDog found me and both of our lives were forever changed!
LuckyDog was a NYC pup,
and came from ARF (Animal Rescue Federation). Reportedly he was too rambunctious
and not housebroken. He also spent most of his first 15 months in a crate.
During our time together,
LuckyDog and I moved a bit, but each time he adjusted beautifully and always
found a best doggy friend. When his pet sitter suggested he might have a wheat
allergy, I changed his diet, and discovered wheat free peanut butter cookies.
LuckyDog lived for his peanut butter cookies! He received several during the
day; however, every night at 9PM he and I would have our evening snack- 3 peanut
butter cookies!
One day a friend offered
LuckyDog a blue Lazy Boy chair, and of course he accepted. As you can see he
looked very regal in his chair, and loved to watch the world and the computer
from his chair.
When he left me for the
bridge suddenly in December of 2007, this is the same chair that I sat in to say
good-bye, and for many hours and days afterwards to mourn for my LuckyDog.
While I love Westie before
him and his two younger brothers Sunny and Buddy, I believe that LuckyDog and I
had a special bond, forged through the rough times. Unfortunately he left me all
too soon for the bridge, just as the road of life had started to become less
bumpy.
I hope you will vote for
my LuckyDog, to help him know that he is still very much loved and missed. He
was a beautiful and loving boy and your vote can help continue that memory!
