Jake came from a kill shelter. Like many shelter dumped dogs, he had a few
issues we had to work with (photo). He is a very smart boy who is very food
motivated and very resourceful at finding himself a snack when I was not
around. Many a meal was lost to Jake early on in our relationship. We had to
find different ways to stop him from going grocery shopping when the mood struck
and have succeeded to do so. It was a challenge but love conquers all. Jake is
an ambassador for rescue dogs. All dogs come with baggage but with love and
understanding it can be overcome! Jake now helps the foster dogs we take in
from E-Rescue Houston to adjust and learn about being loved. He deserves to win
this contest because he is such a trooper. Allowed dozens of dogs through here
till they find permanent homes.
