This handsome boy's name is Sticker. He came into my care when he was about 3
weeks old. He had been crying for at least 4 days before the person who found
him actually took the time to try to locate him. By then he was almost dead. I
rushed him to the Vet immediately and he only weighed 2 ounces. That's the same
weight as a newborn kitten! He was nothing but bones with skin hanging loosely
on them. He was flea infested to the point that he had fleas coming out of every
opening of his body and he was far too weak to even care at that point. He had
almost no blood left in him and was severely anemic and his heart was working
overtime just to keep him alive. His eyes were matted shut, his nose was crusted
over and he was open mouth breathing. His hair was long but completely covered
in stickers (hence the name) and burrs. It was so bad that he couldn't
physically move. It absolutely broke my heart to see such a sweet and beautiful
creature in such deplorable condition. The Vet treated him as best he could and
sent him home to die. Sticker is now almost a year old and is the picture of
perfect health. I honestly cannot imagine what my life was like before he came
to me. I thank God for him every day!!
