What a beautiful thing.  I hope Trent lives a long and healthy life.  Congradulations on being able to get the surgery he so desperately needs.

Hello All you wondrful Angels:
Thank you all for your moral, and financial support with helping my Trent.  Unfortunately after speaking with a doctor from the hospital where Trent's was going to get his surgary.  They explained thoroughly to me Trent's prognosis.  Trent's prognosis are not good at all.  I'v taken the advice of CVS to take Trent back to his Vet doctor, give him something to make him comfortable.  I was in such denial, but the doctors at CVS gave me a real reality check.  I am not happy about my decision but I have no choice.  There are lots of wonderful pets and pet owners out there that need asisstants, I hope the funds that was raised for Trent will help a owner and it's pet.  Thank you all, you are all truly ANGELS!

My heart aches for you. What an incredibly tough decision.
I am so thankful that IMOM angels gave u the chance to make your own decision, instead of just feeling like any decision would have been made due to lack of finances.

I think most of the angels here knew that there was a chance of Trent having hemangiosarcoma. IMOM has had a few cases the past months where it turned out to be hemangiosarcoma. But no matter what- the amazingly beautiful angels still want a PIN parent to feel they have done everything possible for their kid-so there is never regret or guilt.

Angels, thank u for giving Trent's mom the chance to make a decision not based on finances.

Even in ur pain, u are thinking of other furkids needs.
You are an awesome mommy.

Hugs from someone who had gone thru hemangiosarcoma twice with puppers in my household.

I am holding u and Trent in my heart.

Hugs,
Cindy

*** adding a note after Kim rightly pointed out that Trent has not actually had a diagnosis of hemangiosarcoma. I let my emotions get in the way and jumped to a conclusion.

I think most of the angels here knew that the chance of Trent having hemangiosarcoma was high. IMOM has had a few cases the past months where angels made donations for spleenic masses and the pupper didn't survive long. But the amazingly beautiful angels still want a PIN parent to feel they have done everything possible for their kid-so there is never regret or guilt.

Cindy, thank you so much.  Your support is so helpful to me, I really need that, I am at my low right now.  Thank you so much.

Hemangiosarcoma -- is that Trent's diagnosis?  First I've seen that mentioned.

Yvonne, what did the specialist say to you today that changed your mind?  I know you've been very worried about Trent, but has his condition deteriorated so much in 2 days that they're now advising against surgery?

If he doesn't have surgery, can he at least get the transfusion to make him stronger for a little bit?

Yvonne has contacted us to let us know her decision about Trent's surgery. Our hearts go out to her and Trent during this very hard time.

Kim, according to the information we have from the vet, Trent needed his spleen removed, and then the splenic masses would be biopsied to determine diagnosis.

Thank you to everyone who donated to help Trent. I know that his mom is grateful for your love and concern. If you would like a refund of your donation, please email treasurer @ imom.org (remove spaces) before April 29. After April 29, any amount remaining in Trent's fund will be moved to IMOM's General Fund, which will help another pet in need.

Yvonne, I do hope you will keep us updated on how Trent is doing. Please give him some gentle pets from all of us at IMOM.

Sorry, Kim, u are absolutely correct. I could kick myself-it was stupid- I let my emotions get ahead of me by what Yvonne wrote abt what the docs said abt the prognosis and jumped to a conclusion I shouldn't have jumped to. Trent may very well not  have hemangiosarcoma.

I should have asked the questions Kim asked abt what the docs said, , and what changed.

Yvonne, u mentioned now going back to his regular vet -can they do a transfusion?

Hugs to you and Trent.
