Diagnosis: Two broken femur plates, lacerations
Amount of estimate: $2250. Applicant can contribute $700 but that is going toward bills to date.
IMOM Pledge: $500.  We need to raise $1750 by tomorrow
Spayed or neutered: no, will be done
Caseworkers: Cindy

Snoopy is an adorable 10 week old pit-bull mix who was backed over by a car.  Both growth plates in his hips are broken.  One needs an FHO, the other pins for repair. Since both legs are affected, amputation is not an option.

We have been working with the specialist vet to find a cheaper option/clinic but none of the other 4 vets we contacted have agreed so we will most likely have him treated there.  They have been taking wonderful care of him and can do the surgery fastest.  IMOM pledged $500 to keep Snoopy in-house while we fund raise but the hospitalization is $300+ a day so we cannot afford to wait longer than tomorrow.  Snoopy is on medications and is eating, but he cannot walk.  His owner has been doing all he can to help Snoopy but he has run out of funds and options.  IMOM is his only hope.

so, please...contact PBRC immediately...see if they have funds to help

also, send this to everyone you know and ask them to pass it along to everyone that they know...this little baby needs our help...Judy

Fund update...

Thanks to so many wonderful angels Snoopy now has $719 in donations.  As happy as that makes us, he's still $1021 short.

We received a fax from the vet informing us that surgery really needs to be today as the skin is becoming necrotic.

Snoopy is his families first pet and he's just a baby.  Please help get the word out so we can get Snoopy in for surgery today.

Everyone at the Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island has fallen in love with Snoopy.  He is a delight to take care of and has surely brought much joy to his owners.  I have posted a picture below from yesterday and will continue to post updates on the puppy throughout the day.  Thank you all for your donations for this special little guy!

There are no words to describe how fantastic you all are.  Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for helping this little guy.  Thank you, doctors at the Vet Medical Ctr of Long Island for all your care and concern.  And thank you Pat and Jacki for stepping in for me this morning.  We have the best group of volunteers and donors in the universe!

Snoopy is in surgery RIGHT NOW. He was the first one this morning.  The doctor will be leaving a message once it is complete to let us know how it goes.
