Kathy, I checked the funds update this AM and Dopey has $213.00 towards his surgery, isn't that GREAT!!!

Now, we have to work hard to see what we can do in the next day or so...

IMOM angels...we are working towards a goal and it's such a DOABLE amount to raise..let's get this sweet boy out of pain and back to playing and walking with his brother...

The season of giving is right around the corner...what a better way to start out the Holiday with a donation to help this little fellow walk again.  Judy

I just spoke with Dopey's vet. The specialist who can perform Dopey's Femoral Head Osteotomy (FHO) surgery will next be in on Sunday and Monday. If we can get Dopey to All Funds Raised before the weekend, the vet will definitely take care of Dopey on either Sunday or Monday.

Angels, I hope we can make this happen for Dopey. Maybe we can even get him to AFR before Thanksgiving, so that his family will not be worrying about this over the holiday.

Thanks to the generosity of those who donate to our general fund, IMOM is happy to pledge $300 to help get Dopey to AFR.

Can we make sure, before Thanksgiving, that Dopey will be able to have his surgery on Sunday or Monday? I know what a relief it would be to Dopey's family to know that he will be taken care of very soon.

Ilsa had an FHO done on her hip (she had arthritis and wasn't even 3 years old)! She does really well on it, and just today was jumping up on me, which I thought she wasn't supposed to be able to do...hmmm...

I hope Dopey gets the help he needs soon so he can have surgery on Monday.

               Im Nelson I see my Dopey today he brake mi hearth because mi dog its very diferent than days before . we hope everithing have a solution very soon.

Nelson...Dopey is doing well with his fund raising...

I know you feel sad but soon he will be feelling better again...

Right now he has $519.00 towards his surgery...he only needs $359.00 to get all fixed up!!!

IMOM angels...Nelson feels so bad...they are trying hard to get the money for Dopey and it looks as if he can get his surgery on Sunday if we can get the balance of the money raised by then...

$359.00 is all that is keeping Dopey from feeling well again...that's a very DOABLE AMOUNT to raise in a couple of days...even 3...

Nelson or Dopey's Mom...I don't know if Laurie gave your vet an update on the fund raising going on at IMOM, but I would let them know how you're doing with that...I do think Laurie did that today when she talked to them...so they are alerted that Dopey is getting CLOSE...

Let's see what we can do to get these funds raised...PLEASE...that little guy is in pain...how sad for him and his family.  Judy

Good Morning, Dopey and Mama Zoila and Papa Nelson-

We know how hard this is, but please stay with us - we are more than half way to the goal of funds that Dopey needs to have his surgery on Sunday.

We know it breaks you heart to see Dopey in pain.  Can you tell us about the beginning, when you first brought Dopey and Scrappy home?  Were your children still young and at home?

Angels, this little dog needs all the angels he can find.  Please help.  I think the MAGIC number is $361.

hello everyone. i would like to start by saying THANK YOU SO MUCH for everything you guys here on imom have done so far for us and my dopey. i honestly did not think it was possible to reach our goal for the surgery but thanks to you guys are are almost there, and its like dopey feels it to. Dopey has been a little back to his self today. its still a little hard on him not being able to fully use all his legs and play with his brother Scappy our my grand-daughter, my grand-daughter loves to play with both of them, so im pretty sure she is more than happy to know he will soon have his surgery thanks to you guys..

That leaves $281 that Dopey needs in order to have his surgery after Thanksgiving.

In honor of Taffy, Champion Prince and the first dog I had as a little girl, Troubles (alittle bluff colored, cocker mix), I am going to do a MATCHING CHALLENGE for sweet Dopey...

He is patiently waiting for us to help him...I wish I had more and I am going to keep searching pockets, purses and coats...but right now I will MATCH up to $75.00 towards Dopey's surgery...

That gets him alot closer to all funds raised...every $1.00 donated will double...

If you can't donate, please pass his story on...we want to see him scheduled for surgery this Sunday...

SO VERY happy to read he is at All Funds Raised !!!

hello imom!!!!! i have some great news, dopey is having his surgery on sunday Nov 29 at 8:30... We are so excited and thankful that this is happening.... i cant stop sayin thank you!!! all of you guys have been this families blessing.. we hope all of you had a great thanksgiving.... this thanksgiving we were all more than thankful for imom... =-)  we will keep you all posted on his surgery... HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!!!

To Dopey and his Family,

I have been gone all day and just came home and the first place I went was IMOM...

I am SO HAPPY that Dopey is going to get his surgery tomorrow morning...right now it's 3:15 in Ohio which I think is the same for you...pretty soon you'll be taking up Dopey's food and water and getting him ready for his 8:30 surgery...

I don't know if he has to spend the night or not, but see if you can bring a tee shirt from one of you that has your smell on it...when he wakes up from his surgery he will have a familiar scent with him...and he'll feel comforted...

I'll be checking in all day tomorrow to see how everything went...Hugs, Judy

I'm just stopping in to let you know I'll be thinking about you and Dopey tomorrow morning.  I am so glad he doesn't have to wait any longer to start on his road to recovery.  

Please give him a kiss on the forehead for me tomorrow morning, and tell him we'll be anxious to hear that he is out of surgery.  He's been such a good boy.

I just looked at the clock and in less than an hour Dopey is going to get fixed up!!!

All I can say is YIPPEEE...

I know that you and your family are thrilled and Dopey is going to be as good as new once he gets through his recovery...he has a wonderful family that cares alot about him so in a couple of weeks or so he's going to be going on his walks with his brother again...

Nelson says he and the two dogs are still taking walks, but it is strange with Dopey's leg being hurt. He, like his whole family, is suffering with Dopey. He and his family thank IMOM for the wonderful program.
