Pyometra - 7 Year Old Chihuahua

This morning IMOM was contacted by Ponderosa Animal Clinic. A 7 year old Chihuahua named Purdies was brought in with Pyometra and needs surgery TODAY. Owners are an elder couple who truly love their dog and had no idea of the consequences of not having her spayed. Vet confirmed owners have no money for surgery.

Cost for IV fluids, antibiotics, pyometra surgery is $1,200.00. Owners do not own a computer; one of Ponderosa's technician went to the library with the owner and helped them fill out an EF application.

IMOM was able to pledge $500.00 and the wonderful vet donated the rest.

Thanks to IMOM's monthly donors Purdies is now on antibiotics and fluids in hopes of getting her stable enough for surgery. She's a pretty sick little dog.
