Slick 11/5/1998 -- 10/26/2012

6 posts in this topic

On November 5, 1998 Slick came to his furrever home. He was our first LBK after losing Magic. Pete had found him hanging around a hotel renovation job he was doing in DE. Slick was a street fighter and found his food in a dumpster.

He was about a year old and had beautiful shiney black fur. As black and shiney as an oil slick. Thus the name, Slick. In time we learned that the name fit in many other ways! And like most pets we found other names for him - The Slick One, TSO and Dumpster Cat just to name a few.

TSO was by my side during the years of building IMOM. He was always there. Either laying on my desk, on my lap or in the window of my office. His presence helped me more than I can say.

On October 26, 2012 we had to send Slick to The Bridge.

I'll write more about Slick in my blog when I'm up to it. I promise you will all fall in love with him.

Jacki,

I am so sorry for your loss. Slick could not have had a more loving family. I guess he was slick enough to be hanging around the right dumpster all those years ago.

Oh, Jacki, I had so hoped the docs would figure out why he has been sick. I just never expected u would lose him now-I know u didn't either.

My heart just breaks for u and Pete. I am just so very sorry.

Slick and Magic are why my boyz are still alive...

Thanks Slick, I am forever grateful that u helped ur mama, and in turn so many furkids and their parents.

Fly free sweet Slick...
