Cindy, sorry I don't get here much anymore, but I saw on FB that Tuck needs surgery. Some dear friends were going to visit this weekend and had to cancel because of their sick furkid, so I'm sending what I would have spent on dinner, etc.

Hugs to you and the boyz.

Cindy is the best mom ever to her boys, and Tuck is a very special pupper, for sure. I'll take the last $50 of the challenge (thank you, Roberta), and I'll match the next $250. Please help me double your donation and get Tucker closer to his surgery.

Justice is really scared of storms, but Tuck pays no mind to them...unless lightening hits close and the whole house shakes. So while Justie was hiding in the bathroom, Tuck was taking a nap. zzzzzzzzz

I am really so happy to see all the wonderful "trainee's" pulling for Tuckie. You guys are gonna be awesome caseworkers that make a difference in so many lives. Dawn, Sheila and Merridy-thank u guys so much!

Hi Judy, gotta say I was "floored" too. I really thought the internal med specialist would just increase Tuck's Urodiol-a med that helps thin bile and help it flow. But with the ultrasound it showed that what Tuck has will block off his gallbladder, and there is no treatment except surgery.

When do u leave on ur trip?

Thanks so much. hugs

Hi, Mike, ohhh it's just feels so great that u are here. I know after losing Lola recently that it had to be hard to come back.

I just know that angel Guy and angel Lola will be watching after Tuck on Tuesday.

It's so wonderful u donated to Tuckie's surgery. It means so much.

hugs

Hi Melissa,ih thanks for the updates-I never expected to be on the end of a Melissa update--u know u are famous for ur updates don't ya??? LOL.

Thanks so much!

hugs

Vic, guess what??...I saw a Malamute (I even asked just to be sure-I have been reading some Susan Conant books-mysteries and Malamutes are involved). He was GORGEOUS! All I could think of was Merlimouse and all the gang. I gotta say that when they blow their coats...it looks like u could make huge piles of soft furniture-get rid of the couches and chairs, and ur bed! lol.

hugs!

Jo, thanks so much-I can't believe u did this when u are losing ur job for 8 weeks. I am so touched.

hugs

Deb, no, u don't follow instructions very well. LOL. I am touched, thanks so much!

hugs

Sarah, How is the boyz buddy Clara? Being a good big sister?

thanks so much for helping Tuckie...again.

hugs!

Hi, Sue, I have noticed ur avatar for awhile now and always wanted to ask u abt the baby in the pic. What a sweetie!!!

Thanks so much for helping Tuckie. I know, u know how special these schnauzies are.

Hugs to u, Ollie and Ivy (how old are they?)

Hi, Kim, I am so sorry abt ur friends' furkid. I am so grateful for the donation...but wish and hope for ur friends furkid to be OK.

hugs to u (and my Roadie and all)

I still am astounded Roberta by ur generous matching challenge. It means more then I can say.

hugs

WOW!!! $335!!! Oh, thank u everyone!! THANK YOU!!

Thanks Jacki, Cindy and all for the awesome updates! I know this is a tough time, and IMOM has had some kids that needed to fund raise large amounts of money. So it's even more important to know that no donations are too small. They add up...they really do. Don't think ur donation won't matter--it will!!

Thanks so much angels!!

Just sent in my match - thank you, everyone, for taking my money! And Kay, thank you so much for the next matching challenge! I know Tucker will be at AFR in time for surgery on Tuesday, with all the Angels he's got in his corner.

I don't post often, but I do check in on Tucker and Justice pretty much every day. Last night, it sounded like Tuckie was doing a little better, so it was such a shock to read that he needed surgery. I'm glad I was able to help a little in making that happen. Please, if anyone can make a donation of any amount...As we keep saying, it all adds up! No amount is too small to help. Cindy, Tucker and Justice have been a part of IMOM for such a long time, they really do feel like family...And it breaks my heart to see yet another obstacle they need to overcome. The Boys have had so many health issues, but they couldn't have a better Mom than Cindy. Her love for them is obvious, and, despite all she has going on, she still takes the time to encourage other PIN parents. So now's our chance to give her some love back. Please donate if you can. If you can't, then help get the word out. FaceBook, Twitter, or sharing with your animal-loving friends in real life - it all helps. There are Angels all around...

Sending hugs and prayers to Tucker (and Cindy and Justice, of course!) and looking forward to Tucker being able to :wbd3:

Is everyone checking out how cute Tucker is?? He's just a bundle of energy when he's feeling good...he's SO cute and he's the apple of his Momma's eye.....but then again, so his his brother Justice...

You have to see it to believe it...Tucker, Justice and the rest of the gang...all playing in the family room...it's a sight to behold.....and those boys are able to do that because their Momma takes the bestest care of them a Momma can....and then some.....

Cindy is an amazing woman...I have had the pleasure of meeting her and the boys and her extended family and it is always the best get together to go and sit in their family room and watch a group of much loved schnauzers play.....and yes, bark....

I know that Cindy would like nothing better than to see this little guy play with his giggle toys.....or better yet, have a :wbd3:

Until the end of March Tuck played like crazy. Then he got sick very quickly and his blood test that is specialized for pancreatitis (specCPL) results were in the high 900's...they only test to 1,000 (norm is under 200). He had severe pancreatitis. It took weeks to get him feeling better, and just as he was doing better, he got sick again. This time it was cholangiohepatitis (most common in cats). After a couple weeks of treatment the same thing happened..he seemed better then worse. Pancreatitis again. We did this rollercoaster of pancreatitis and cholangiohepatitis 3 times each. He never started playing again.

An ultrasound was done with the first pancreatitis and he had a "huge" gallbladder. He was put on Ursodiol to help bile flow.

With every treatment of a triple cocktail of antibiotics he seemed to feel better, but wouldn't play even though there is a puppy in the house (she owns the folks I live with), and the first couple weeks she was here he loved playing with her.

Tuck started hiding in the "man cave" (a soft krate) and isolating himself. The vets said it was just taking time for him to recover from the severe illnesses, but then again labs would show his liver wasn't doing well. I started being able to recognize when his liver enzymes would be up becuz he would drink large amounts of water (he has had 5 drinks of water in the past 2 hours).

Each time he would have cholangiohepatitis his ALT would be elevated. The first time in the 300's, second time in the 500's. Two weeks ago as he was on the last day of his antibiotics his ALT was 45!! Absolutely beautiful number (below 111 is normal). He was to have labs again tmw to recheck just to make sure all was well. Well, we didn't make it. I noticed he was drinking more water again and last Friday, just 1 week after a normal ALT, he started vomiting. He couldn't keep his seizure meds down so we had to run him to a local vet. He was given Cerenia injection, and even though everyone expected it to just be a gastritis this time I decided to have them do a liver panel. So, a week after being normal...his ALT was nearly 900. The vet called the IM specialist at MedVet and he said if he worsened he should be hospitalized over the weekend. No way did I want him there with none of his specialists around! Thankfully with loats of meds and fluids we made it over the weekend.

The IM doc wanted to do an ultrasound since something was causing recurrent episodes, and each time he was getting more sick, He refused food for days, had a fever and didn't move from the bed without being carried. This isn't Tuck.

So, u all know the story of them finding a mucocele at the entry of the gallbladder. This time his gallbladder showed it was severely dilated filled with sludge (bile). The mucocele is like a plug, and he can rupture and/or get a systemic infection that would be devastating.

On top of everything, Tuck suddenly went deaf a couple months ago-no one has an absolute answer of why it happened, but it complicated matters becuz no one was sure if some of his behaviors (not playing and staying upstairs all the time) was due to how he was handling the deafness.

Of course all of this has made his epilepsy more of a challenge then normal (and it's always a challenge).

I pray that soon Tuck will be doing this again-

Angels y'all never cease to amaze me. Our donors ROCK!

:bravo:

We have received $675 in donations and we have a 2nd matching challenge going of another $250. ( for which we have received $40)

Now is a wonderful time to donate, as anything you give is doubled! Turn that $10 into $20, it all adds up to making a difference for a Pet In Need.

Let's raid that piggy bank, dig in those couch cushions and skip that dinner out tomorrow and let's get little Tuckie into surgery!

To make a donation, Click here (http://tinyurl.com/79og6jd)

Or, if you prefer to donate directly from your PayPal account, you may send your donation to paypal@imom.org

Thanks so much for donating and sharing Tucker's story, we couldn't do this without you!

Roberta

Oh I missed ur post before!! I am a hunt and peck kind of typist (fairly good though), so it takes longer then most of u guys probably to write a post, and I was writing that long one and forgot to refresh!

You have brought me to tears Roberta. Thanks so much again.

I thought at least when they said Tuck needed surgery, and he was eating again and feeling a bit better, that they would at least say it could wait a few weeks. But they redid labs yesterday and even with the triple antibiotic treatment, his liver isn't recovering like the other episodes. His ALT is down to the high 700's when it was 892, but his alk phos which was 464 is now 1,000. They worry he may not survive the cholangiohepatitis worsening since every time is worse.

I am getting a lot of credit for the boyz care, and yes I do whatever I have to to make sure the boyz are taken care of becuz they are my loves and my life, and I adore them and learn from them every single day. But, without u and the other angels helping Tuck and Justice, I would not have them to even care for.

Even though the 3 of us have many obstacles, we always know there is light at the end of the tunnel and the light comes from all the auntie and uncle angels.

But I am thinking maybe this time we need bigger candles for u guys while u stand at the end of the tunnel???

many hugs to u and the kids!

Thanks so much angels!!!

Some more storms are coming. We hear thunder in the distance. The storms are also going to happen during the night and possibly tmw AM. If I am not here, please know it's not becuz I don't want to be here. Darn ole storms.

Tuck will be in my arms as soon as I give the boyz their meds. I hope everyone will give their kids snuggles tonight (Kim, tell Roadie it's from me, I just know he'll let u do it. lol).

Gotta get the boyz outside before the storm gets closer.

sweet dreams everyone.

The Angels have been busy! What a great update and another Matching Challenge going on now as well! :bravo:

I can't think of anyone who has gone through as much as Cindy has with the boys and still finds it in her heart to support others with a kind word or a shoulder to cry on.

Wouldn't it be nice to have her come back tomorrow morning, stormy weather permitting, and find Tuck close to All Funds Raised? Slowly but surely, with the help of so many, we are getting there!

Angels please help Tuck to hit his goal and remove the worry of funds for Cindy. She so deserves to have a peaceful and restful weekend with the boys before Tuesday comes........

Auntie Nancy just posted on Facebook, she's having trouble signing in here:

Here is what she had to say about sweet little Mr. Tucker.

"Oh no why does Tuckie baby need surgery? Please help Tucker! I've "known" Tuckie, his brother Justice and their wonderful mommy for a very long time. There isn't a more wonderful doggie family anywhere! Love you Tuckie!

Please send Tucker and Cindy my love and let them know I'm sharing and pleading! I also posted on Jacki's post that I will do a $100 matching challenge after the current one is done, just tell me what to do!"

This is so wonderful.

We have $725 in donations so far, we need $160 to meet the current Matching Challenge.

Thank you all so much, from the bottom of my heart, and my boys Phoenix and Dallas' furry little hearts as well.

Sincerely,

Hey Cindy, Sent what I could for Tuck's candle fund. There's been a few candles needed here lately, but the light at the end of the tunnel has finally been spotted (sepsis beaten), so I'm passing on the HOPE to you and Tuck.
