We lost power, but back on for the moment although lights flickering.Severe storm, so can't stay on. Hope will be over later today.

I'll be back as soon as I can.

Please any amount will add up to help Tuck have this life saving surgery. The IMOM angels have always protected Tuckiebutt, and I know this is so much to ask. But Tuck will die without this surgery.

darn storms. I will be back...

Thank u so much angels.

This is from the boyz thread:

It wasn't the news I had hoped for...Tuck needs his gallbladder removed. If it isn't removed he will die. The IM doc said it will either be from the biliary mucocele formation (starts as something like a webbing as the bile changes consistency and then hardens and then totally blocks the duct and his already "severely dilated" gallbladder will rupture) or I will lose him from the cholangiohepatitis. His labs were redone today and it was a hope that he would have big improvements of his liver function tests-there isn't, and one test is worse.

So much was discussed such as doing this laprascopically (which would be a few hundred dollars less), but it would be too risky becuz of his size. If he were a bigger dog it would have been a good option.

The surgery is quite serious becuz sometimes due to the closeness of the pancreas, he may have severe pancreatitis after the surgery. I am scared beyond belief, but there is no other choice.

I can not begin to thank the committee enough for again giving Tuckie a chance to live.

Tuck is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday. The option of who the neuro and cardio want to do surgery is Tuesday or Thursday. They don't want to do it Thursday becuz none of Tuck's specialists will be there, and putting it off an extra week would be too risky.

I can't wait to start posting in a few weeks that Tuck is back and playing...and for longer then just 2 days out of the past almost 5 months. No wonder he felt so crappy for months and didn't want to play.

He had some subQ fluids and is resting.

Thanks ever so much angels!

Oh sweetie... I just went to my e-mail box and saw the request for Tuckie. I am so very sorry he (and you) has to go through this. As soon as I saw it, I donated $25... I know it's not much, but since my boss had surgery yesterday, my hours are going to be cut down next to nothing while the office is closed for the next eight weeks.

You are all in my prayers.. BIG TIME! I'll check back on you later.

Love, Hugs, Belly Rubs and Prayers

Anyone who has been in this community for any length of time probably know the Van Allen Boyz and their mom, Cindy. I always feel like Tuckie belongs to all of us as much as he belongs to Cindy. It's time we all rally together for one of our own.

Please help if you can. There is never any amount too small when it comes to saving a precious pet.

Calling all Angels! This little guy needs all the help he can get and right away! I know that the funds for his surgery can be raised with the help of the great IMOMERs!! Tucker is the best bud of Justice another Mini Schnauzer in the household!

Tucker has been with IMOM since 2004 and we can't let him down now! He's normally a frisky little guy and it's breaking his Mom's heart for him to be ill. So if you 'd like to make a donation to Tucker please do so at the link below and be sure to add that your donation is for Tucker Van Allen so we'll know where to apply the donation!

I just looked at the national weather radar and it looks as if severe storms have been going thru Cindy's area ALL DAY...there is a very slight break right now but more severe storms coming in.....my guess is she is without power and is waiting IMPATIENTLY for it to come back on...

I know that she is going crazy waiting and waiting and waiting...she is SO DEDICATED to her boys...she would move the world to make things better for them...all of us at IMOM know that...and I want everyone that is new here to know it too.....

I know that when she can the first thing she is going to do is come to IMOM...in the meantime, let's show here what we can do.....

Oh Cindy, I am so sorry to hear about Tuckie!

Angels, we need to get this sweetheart fixed up, Tuck has been with us all for a long, long time. I feel like I know Cindy's boyz so well even though I have never met them face to snout. They have grown up with all of their IMOM aunties and uncles......and now Tuckie needs help.

(Angels, I think Cindy's power is out and that is why she isn't here right now - all of you that know Cindy, know that should would do ANYTHING for her boyz. I am sure she is frantic not being able to get to the forum).

Roberta - thanks so much for your awesome matching challemge - c'mon Angels, lets take some of that matching action for Tuck!

Cindy, sending very big hugs to you and the boyz....hang in there, we're right here with you every step of the way!

Tucker and Justice would be lost without the other, so we have to make sure that doesn't happen! Let's get Tucker his operation so he and Justice can get back to the business of taking care of Cindy! I know these storms might be scaring the boys, but let's make sure it's raining money for Tucker! To make a donation go to: http://tinyurl.com/79og6jd
