Cowboy Vernon

Diagnosis: Ruptured disc in back

Amount of estimate: $2398 (includes neuter)

Owner Contribution: $500

We need to raise: $1898

Spayed or neutered: no; will be neutered during surgery

Case worker: Tracy

Cowboy is a 5 year old Dachshund with a ruptured disc in his back. The vet has told us that Cowboy needs a CAT scan and laminectomy within a week. Without treatment, Cowboy risks permanent paralysis. With proper treatment, we are told, he has about a 95% probability of regaining his mobility.

Cowboy's owner has been trying to raise funds elsewhere and has come up with $500 to contribute, but needs our help. She was denied Care Credit.

Donations can be made at http://www.imom.org/donation

Please specify "GF - Cowboy Vernon" on all donations. Also please consider a small contribution to our operating fund so that we may continue to fund administrative expenses.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give Cowboy!

Sincerely,

Tracy/IMOM

$80 is a good start but we still have a ways to go - Angels, I know everyone has been very generous this week trying to help our pets in need, but this little guy is going to be paralyzed without surgery, please help him if you can. No amount is too small.

Thank you so much to everyone who has helped out Cowboy so far! I've just emailed his mom and reminded her to start posting. Hopefully she'll be along soon to tell us more about her boy.
