I am so happy with the recent posts!! Both boys are good and it sounds as if you're feeling better also!!

I myself don't have a Mac but everyone that I know that does LOVES them and wouldn't have a PC for love or money...so, I say, go for it...

Hasn't the weather been STRANGE?? Not only here but my friends in NJ and VA have been experiencing the same storms as we have...

Just wanted to check in and see how all was going...and I'm so happy it's WELL...Hugs to you all, Judy

I'm so happy Tuckie is still on the train. Now that the stitches are out and he's feeling better, I'm sure Justie will be right there with him.

My brother and sister-in-law have a Mac, and they're pretty satisfied with it. The only thing I wouldn't like about it is that you can't open Windows Media Player movies on it. There might be a way to open those to watch with another program, but I wouldn't know how. That in itself wouldn't stop me from taking the drive to Columbus for a free Mac.

Tell both boys how proud I am of them. Justice was such a big boy getting those stitches out.. don't know if I would have gotten through it with just a "gulp".

Love You Guys

Sounds like things are getting better for you guys. The storms have cleared out here in MO today, so hopefully that will go your way. However, now the searing heat begins. I did wish for it since it is better for the horses founder problems. Will try not to complain as I bake for the rest of the summer!

Love and Husky hugs,

Debbie and Jack

ps. Deb and Jo posted pix of Jack post-surgery on his thread and his blog. I will put more recent ones on soon. No, I won't but some wonderful smart computer person will.

OH wow Dual Trains YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

What a good boy Justice is getting his stitches out, I'm just so glad both boys are back on the train. I hope the storms aren't too bad, we do seem to be having a lot of them. We are supposed to get back into it tonight and pretty much all thru the weekend. Plus humid so the AC will be on. I'll be a stuffed up mess, I dont like AC but I can't stand the heat anymore either. Kind of a catch 22 here.

I'm so sorry your having puter problems. They can be a pain when they get sick. I've never used a mac so I can't help you on that one. But sounds like others like it so I would go for it, its free.

Dad is doing great. He finally got a good night sleep and is doing much better. Still sore from the surgery but he's breathing fine. I found out after I posted that he had fluid build up during the night and that is what caused his breathing problem. So he didn't come home with oxygen he doesn't need it. Thanks so much for the prayers, they are so appreciated. I'm just glad he's doing better and this should solve his problem of being tired all the time.

As for Mom and the storms, she thinks she is jinxed. She was bringing Dad home yesterday and got to the same area where it hit the night before and it stormed again. Not as bad as the night before but still, what are the chances of that happening. Poor Mom.

Love and hugs to you and the boys.

THUD! SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH !! THUD!!

That's 2 little mini schnauzers falling off the train last night. I can't say I blame them with the storms we were having. I think if I had epilepsy, I would have fallen off too!

There were several lightening strikes in our woods, and one near the barn. The crack sounds they made were unbelievable.

Even the humans here who enjoy storms were worried.

We have more storms coming later again--it will be the norm thru monday. I just hope they are not as bad as last night. I hope they weren't bad where Syd is either!

Now the boys aren't really afraid of storms-it's the barometric changes that seem to affect their seizures. But they were both scared last night. With the worst crack of lightening, Tuck who was on the bed, literally leaped ACROSS the ramp and into my arms as I was walking past the ramp closing windows since we had a gust of wind/rain and hail. He put his front legs around my shoulders and his back legs wrapped around my waist. I hugged him for a moment, but then I had to do a terribly hard thing--put him down. If u tell them "it's OK" and hold them like there is something to fear, they will learn to be scared of storms. So I held him and walked to the bed and said "Ohhh my that was a loud noise wasn't it? Let's get ur ball and play". All in a matter-of -fact voice.

I really wanted to shake myself and have the boys hold ME! LOL.

Justice had a GM while the storm was happening. Tuck had some CP's a little later.

They are doing OK seizure wise today.

But I noticed last night Tuck was squinting a little. It looked like he was just really tired. But today it's obvious that's not what is going on. He is squinting his right eye pretty badly. So he has an appt with the local vet at 4:15pm today. I would have preferred Niki check it, but she isn't in until tmw, and I think he is in discomfort. I just hope this vet has everything to check Tuck's eyes-country docs-ya never know!

Then Justice threw up his meds at 1:30pm. AY YI YI. But he is acting fine.

Hi Kay, I hoped u would see that!! They will do anything for their Aunt Kay!!! hugs

Hi Debs, glad ur dad didn't need oxygen, and ur mom is OK. Hope u are getting some rest!

I gotta go--thunder-it is here!

Thanks so much angels!!

Hi Cindy,

I'm sorry the storms shook both both off their trains :(( I hope the upcoming storms won't be as bad as yesterday's. Hopefully both boys can hop back on today. That would be great!

I'm sorry about Tuckie's eye. I hope it's nothing serious and that the vet can find the cause and fix it with something simple.

I'm sorry Justice threw up his meds :(( I hope his tummy starts to feel better soon.

:hugs:

Tuck's eye seems OK. The vet wonders when I was using Visine tear (not the get the red out kind) this afternoon, when I thought I would need to wait to take him to Niki tmw, if I flushed something out.

His eye isn't scratched. His tear production is a lot less in the right eye. His left (normal) eye went up to 10 in less then 5 seconds. His right one just got to 10 abt 3 seconds before he stopped timing it-so much less, but still in the normal limits. Plus he had put the stain in before he decided to do that test-so the results may be off a bit. He said sometime I might want to have it rechecked to be sure-but he didn't look like a dog with dry eye (I was worried cuz his dad Gunner has dry eye). He couldn't check the pressure (I need to go to a different office for that), but he said u can usually see other signs with glaucoma. He said to use the tears a few more times, and if tmw he still is squinting, then he needs a pressure check. But he seems fine now.

Justice kept his meds down the second time, and seems fine.

Hi Tracy, thanks for thinking of us and worrying abt us. I do hope Cody went to the chuckless wagon and hopped right on!

hugs to u both!!!

Well guys, it is thundering yet again. This will be off and on thru Monday (although someone told me Sunday is spose to be nice-I hope so!).

So gotta get off.

Thanks so much angels!!!

I hope Syd is not experiemcing all these storms lately--esp the severe one's!

When I started reading the last couple of posts, I felt so bad that I wasn't here to cheer the boys on before they fell off the train... but then I saw they're both back on!!! HOORAYY!!! Maybe they just wanted to get started together so they could be side by side. I'm so happy they're back on.

The storms have pretty constant here too. We've had some beautiful weather during the morning and early afternoon, and then late afternoon into evening we get hit. Thing is... around here the storms go by pretty quickly but the rains continue for a good little while. It's suppose to be hot and humid and storms again today and tomorrow and then a 40% chance on Sunday... guess we know what Sunday will really be like.

I'm glad Tuck's eye is better. Maybe it was caused by an allergy. Hope it doesn't act up again.

I was picturing Tuck jump up on you with his arms around your neck and legs around your waist. I had to chuckle visualizing that sight. You did the right thing talking to him calmly and putting him down.. but what a cute picture it must have been.

I haven't posted on Mike's blog yet today, but he's doing ok.. not great, but ok. Last night was questionable as he started whining and panting again like he does when he has an upset stomach, so I sat on the floor with him for a while and calmed him a bit. Thankfully, it seemed to help.

Little Miss Gidget is pulling her stunts again. The past two days she's decided she doesn't have to bark to go out and has created small lakes in the laundry room AND the kitchen. I don't know what this is all about, but she's GOT to stop it.

I've gotta go take care of the pups... I'll check on everyone and post on Mike's blog a little later.

Have a great day. Hope the storms stay away.

Love & Blessings

I know how terrific our storms have been here, so I was hoping against hope that they would miss you. We have been dry now for two days, so hope you are the same. When my dogs hear thunder (except for fearless jack) I open the basement door, turn on the fan and they all curl up and watch Animal Planet till it passes. It is amazingly sound proof down there and I covered the window well with cardboard so no lightning flashed in. Sometimes they don't come up even when the storm is over.

Gkad ti see them back on track. Hey Cindy, are you feeling all right?

Love and big Husky hugs,

Debbie and jack

Not much time again--storms. I have been gone today then we had company. FINALLY when I can get on...the thunder starts!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The boys so far are OK. Tuck has acted stressed all day, so I hope storms don't send him over the edge.

Justice is doing well.

Hi Joanna and Debbie, tell Mike I want him to not just do good--but great!!! I can't wait to have time to see Jack's pics. I hate not getting around to everyone.

Plus my puter is still dying-thankfully it's a slow death. LOL.

I hope to get my bro's Mac on Sunday if we can meet up.

Ohhh crap-thunder close.

thanks angels!

Checking in on the boys. Things have been so hectic here lately. Never seems to end. Andee got his "well visit" and vaccines today (yay!), you don't know how good it feels to go in for a "well visit" - Andee was well behaved, he provided a stool sample on the floor for easy lab testing, did get onto the scale with only a little coaxing and gave the vet tech the snarly face as soon as he saw the muzzle. Bella came alson with us, she was so helpful and picked up all the nail clippings and threw them in the trash. Although she was gagging when Andee made his deposit, I just told her that Andee doesn't do that when she poops - and she stopped! Bella was such a good girl at the vets, she greeted everyone at the door - met a darling little Bijon mix named "Q-tip" - was he the cutest!!!

We too have been having T stroms almost everyday - it makes Andee nervous enough to make him think it's time for a walk! Never fails, the second it starts pouring, Andee decides he needs a walk, course he doesn't mind getting soaked.

I hope Tuckie's eye is doing better. Andee hate's anything done around his eye, I don't know if he'd ever let me put drops in his eye, I am so proud of Tuckie for being such a good boy. I hope Justice's tummy is feeling better.

Stay on those parallell tracks boys! Sending hugs to both of them!!!

Awww Cindy, I can just see Tuck wrapped around you, how sweet, but you did the right thing. I wish my mom would do that with her dog, she is petrified of them and its because Mom coddles her and also Mom is petrified of them too. That really doesn't help.

I'm so glad both boys got back on the train though. I hope they stay on it and its so great they are side by side. We are supposed to get storms here today too, the ground is so saturated we don't need anymore rain. The dog pen is mud, it doesn't get enough sunshine to dry it out, but even then the back yard is mud too and it gets sunshine. We've been getting storms passing thru and then the sun comes out and then later on another one. Its supposed to be 85 and humid today so the air will be back on, not good for my sinuses but at least it will be cool.

I was wondering too if Tuck could have an allergy in his eye. I've been squinting too and it feel like something is stuck in there and I know they are just irritated from allergies. Hope he has no more problems with them. It is really annoying when your eyes are irritated, tell Tuckie I understand how he feels.

I've got the pictures of Jack, I'll email them to you so you can see. Hope you get that Mac Sunday. Not having a computer stinks

Love and hugs to you and the boys

Hi everyone, we are having the same ole same ole--storms. We had a pop up storm a little earlier, but the bigger storm is coming soon.

Well I guess the boys wanted to be together again--Justice fell off abt 10pm and Tuck followed abt 11pm--both had CP's-so at least not GM's.

I truly hope this next round of storms is the last for awhile.

Hi Linda, LOL. What a vet visit u had! I understand totally abt going in for a "well" visit. I'm sure with Andee's tummy problems and hospitalizations that u are there too often for "sick" visits.

How helpful that Andee obliged with a fresh stool specimen. It's too funny what u said to Bella--and she stopped gagging! Unbelievable!

I've really missed u, but I know u have been really really busy.

I home u are feeling back to normal now?

Hugs to u, Andee and Bella bee

Hi Debs, I have always been very frightened of storms since I was a child--my mom was too. With the boys I try my best to at least fake not being afraid, and I have found over the years that faking it, is actually helping me to start really not being so scared. I don't ever want the boys to have a seizure becuz I am afraid.

It's been hard getting to where I am, esp becuz of a tornado that passed thru our yard while I was abt 12yo. I was standing looking out the back large "picture window" when I heard exactly what others have said-a train. My dad was suddenly yelling at me to get down--but u know that human part of us that says "why?" instead of just doing it. Suddenly he was pulling me away from the window, but I saw this huge black whirling thing, and the nosie was deafening. Luckily it only destroyed some of the patio and garage in our yard, and some trees-but did some major damage as it went into our back yard and on to our neighbors in the back.

Everyone here will hear sirens for a tornado warning, but want to stay up until they think it's really coming our way. I just want to get the puppers downstairs-quickly!

Tuck's eye seems fine now-thank goodness. I can't believe something happened that we didn't need a specialist for!!!!

Try to get some rest!!!!!!!!!!!

I got ur email and pics of Debbie's Jack. Poor munchkin--but in the end, it will all be worth it for sweet Jack.

Hugs to u and the kids.

Here comes the thunder again...

Thanks angels!

Oh wow Cindy, I can understand that human nature. That must have scared the crap out of you. I could though imagine myself doing the same thing. I wish my Mom would try to fake it for Abby but she won't, she's got it in her head that she is too old to change so there is nothing I can do. I've tried. And yep I can imagine faking it would help you with your fear. I'm actually trying that with snakes and along with medication its helping me.

I'm so sorry the boys fell off the train, but happy there were no GM. I hope the storms quit soon, it gets very tiring having it storming all the time. We are supposed to get some tonight. They went all around us today.

Love and hugs to you and the boys, I hope its a quiet night

It's late and I am wiped out. But before anything changes, I just had to do this--

Tucker is at ONE DAY!!!

===================T :1icecream::turtle: ===================

Justice is at ONE DAY!!!

===================J :1icecream::turtle: ===================

The boys are sound asleep right now. They are all curled up in their little beds beside me. Justice has a paw on my leg and part of his head on my pillow. They both look so cute.

Hi Deb, it's a shame ur mom won't at least try to fake that she isn't scared of storms. I talk a lot to the boys, and make sure I do it in a matter of fact voice. Sometimes in the beginning I think I could have won an Academy Award for my acting! LOL

It is amazng though that u really start being less scared while u fake it. LOL.

Justie says he will help u with ur fear of snakes--he will grab them for u, and he says that when he holds a snake in the middle and he looks like Fu Man Chu--it will make u laugh. I told him it doesn't make me laugh!! He said it's worth a try...

hugs!

I am making a trip to Columbus tmw, hopefully to get the Mac from my bro, and also to see my mom. So I won't be back under very late afternoon. Then...storms are forecast (of course!)-so I will get back on when I can.

Thanks so much angels!!

P.S. Big hugs to all our friends-2 and 4 legged. We miss checking on u guys-but all of u continue to be in my heart.

Angels, please can u help sponsor Cole?? He needs $38/month and he will be fully sponsored. Please help Leah and Cole!

Cindy,

I am just checking in having had a busy week. I feel so bad things have been so difficult this past week, boy mother nature appears to be kicking OH butt. I will have to have a talk with her LOL. I feel guilty living where I am having never had to experience such hard weather.

All I can say is I am going to try to send good dry weather your way. In the meantime just snuggle up with the boys and a book, candle light if needed and try to make the best of it. I wish I could sound proof your home to help the pups, the poor babies must really hate it.

Love to you all and please please, I know you don't speak about your own needs but take care of yourself.

Love,

Leah and Cole (he is doing great)

give those good boys hugs.

We had rain and some minor storms, but they seem to have passed for now. Supposedly tmw is the last day with storms for a day or two.

The boys are doing fine. They are on the way to 2 days each later tonight.

I won't have a computer at all for a few days, but can grab someone's puter for a few minutes.

Hi Leah, I am so glad Cole is doing fine. I did check his thread (in fact most threads I have been missing) last night-just no time to post.

I sure wouldn't mind some of ur weather now and again. LOL. We certainly are getting our OH butts kicked for over a week now.

I hope YOU are taking care of urself too!!!! Hugs to u and cole

Maybe that straight wind from the west debbie is what will finally give us relief on Tuesday!!! Glad it is missing u, Jack and the horses!!!

I hope Jack is doing well today. I was thinking abt him earlier.

hugs to u both!!

Thanks so much angels!!!!

Yahoo 2 days each. I hope the storms are gone for a while. Now to just get thru fireworks. I'm sorry I'm brain dead are the boys afraid of fireworks? My two don't like them but don't panic if they go off, just get up and look and bark a few times and I do what you do talk to them in a calm matter of fact voice and sometimes I even get up to look at what ever they think they are seeing and it helps them somehow.

Hope you get that computer sorted soon. And thanks to the person that is letting you borrow theirs to keep us updated, they are very special. Can't go without or Justice and Tucker fixes for too long.

Tell Justice thanks for the idea but I think it would be best if he picked the snake up an trotted off in the other direction. Although if its a baby its not too bad but those big ones (shudder  )

Love and hugs to you and the boys.

The boys didn't have any seizure activity during the night, although Tuck was restless most of the night.

Then around noon Tuckie started having CP's--lots of them. It seemed like during the noon news Tuckie was the big story. Someone would say-"look at Tuck" or "he's doing it again." He finally stopped after some butt meds.

He is sleeping against me now.

Justice has spent quite a bit of time outside. He is wearing a muzzle right now becuz when he threw up a few days ago--yup loads of Japanese Beetles in it. David went out and looked in the yard, and said there are literally hundreds at several places in the yard, and all the dogs are going after them. I kinda doubt Tuck is though-he isn't a bug eater-but the rest are.

But even with the muzzle on, Justice has spent much of`the day outside. I check on him often, and he is just a busy boy keeping on the move checking out the yard.

Hi Deb, well the boys have never been worried abt fireworks, but we always have the windows closed and the TV and AC on. No one close by sets off caps, etc like would happen in Columbus when we lived there. This year though with so many severe storms in the past 9 days, they have shown fear with the storms. So fireworks now--well I hope they won't be a problem!! I doubt I go to fireworks this year, so I can be home to turn up the TV or do whatever is needed to make them more secure.

Of course thunderstorms are back in the forecast Thurs and friday this week. <sigh>

I borrow Carol's puter when I can, although she is on hers a lot lately in between storms.

Well Tuck is on the move--gotta see where he is going-he is a bit tipsy from the valium.

hugs to the kids!!

Thanks so much angels!!
