Tucker and Justice Van Allen - Part 6

1,322 posts in this topic

Well the sun did come out today (figuratively...not literally, in fact there have been tornados not too far from here). I have decided not to feel sorry for myself and to be in a better mood. Thank you Tuckie!! If I make a B...oh well. We live off of campus in a rental house, our lease runs out at the end of July. Then...we will see. I am going to ask if the office I currently work in could hire me as a temporary worker for the summer. That way I can still get some money and be able to job interview when I need to. I am also going to see if Adam can take my job that I have now as a student worker for the summer. His job that he works through the school year doesn't allow him to work thru the summer.

I am still applying...and now I have more time to look.

I went to get a spray tan so I wouldn't be quite so pastey for graduation. While out I stopped and got one of those chewey dog things that dogs like (I am sure you dog owners could give me the technical term) for the pit bull by our house. Her owners roommate has been home today so I am sure she has been taken care of today.

What a sweet picture of you and the boys. When they are being that precious, you do not want to move at all, just to save that moment. At least you have the mental picture. I so wish that our boys could meet. Mine love dogs, yours may not feel the same way about cats though! Obviously Justie doesn't! haha!

Wow... today should be renamed, "Day of Gratitude". We all have been so thankful for everything we've experienced here and with our pets... but today seems to be the day everyone seems to be writing about it. I felt such a strong urge to express my gratitude on Mike's blog this morning and put down some of what was in my heart. We all have been so very blessed.. there really are no words to offer to compare with all the love we've received. If you get a chance.. stop by and read it.

By this time Tucker should be at three days and Justie at 23... I'm going to wait to see it before I congratulate them though.. just so I don't jinx it. But.. Justice is already at 23.. so I guess it's safe to say... WAY TO GO LITTLE GUY!!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!! Now.. just to wait for Tuck to catch up. Oh how I want to say it now... but I don't dare.

Sending love & hugs

Tuckie is at THREE DAY'S!!!!!!!

Justice is at TWENTY-THREE DAY'S!!!!!!

Hi Amy, even though I am thinking positive that u will get that A in CJ--I want to tell u that any employers I have known never ask ur GPA during interviews!

OHH u got a chewy dog thingie for the pit bull. LOL there are so many chewie things out there, I don't know what u bought--but it is sweet that u bought it for the pupper! I am glad the roommate is home to care for the dog.

Oh, so Adam isn't graduating now. That would be great if u could switch student jobs.

That's the attitude--u DO have more time to apply and do interviews. We want ur future boss to know he is getting a great employee! Hopefully they will be pet lovers!!

It would be great if Mr Wiggle butt himself could meet ur Wiggles, and Tyson. Justice too--we would just have him om a leash. Tuckie loves cats. He plays with them and has laid with them. I will have to say that once when Justice had been in the hospital, and we spent the night at Niki's in Columbus, becuz Justice was still hooked to an IV (until he chewed it at abt 5AM- yikes)--he then laid on the air mattress with me, and Niki's cat Batty (who didn't box him-that was Maurice) came and laid with us--Justice was fine. I think he liked the purring too.

So whe do u get ur grades--it must be tmw if u graduate Sunday!!

Hugs to u and the kitties!

Hi Joanna, I actually was just at the kids blog, and thought the exact same thing-it seems to be a day of writing abt gratitude. I think RT is behind it!!

What u wrote abt IMOM and everyone was very sweet. It's so great u support IMOM, and SO MANY of the PIN's here. You are so special that u, like me, have such a commitment to everyone at IMOM and the PIN's.

I wish Mike was feeling better though. I am keeping u all in my prayers.

Hugs to the 3 of u!

Thanks so very , very much angels

The boys made it through the night. Thankfully the storms keep going away from us!!

Justice is at 24 days!!!! I hope this eve Tuck will be at 4 days!

They were both exhausted last night. They slept up here for hours, and were so tired they didn't even bug me for their night meds (I had to wake them). THEN...they slept until 8AM!!!

I sure wish it would be an every day occurrence!!

They are outside at the moment barking at the horses who love to head wrestle each other in front of the dogs, and make them bark.

This AM I got to see a neighbors new foal. The filly was only abt 5-7 hours old. She was so soft and sweet. Her momma is a first time mom, but she is taking to motherhood wonderfully. How amazing to see this newborn.

Thanks so much angels!!

Yesterday a couple of us wrote abt being grateful--no one planned it, and we didn't know anyone else would be writing abt it.

After reading Joanna's blog, I thought it interesting that Joanna wrote abt her gratitude, since I had written abt gratitude too. At the same time Joanna is at the boys thread saying the same thing--how I had written abt gratitude (actually Leah talked abt it), and she had too.

I saw several posts yesterday of gratefulness.

I just know rt was behind all of it--he had a paw in everyone's gratitude yesterday!!!

Justice is at 24 days...I hope this eve Tuck will be at 4 days!

Hugs and love to u, Bill, eb and tra!!

Dearest Cindy,

Like all of you stated when rt and I arrived here, this is the place where miracles happen in life or beyond this space dimension... This is the place for graditute, love, and everyday miracles!!!

Thanks Cindy for sharing the good news... Although at times life can be difficult and IMOM provides a place to greive its also a space where we can all celebrate and express so much gratitude!!!

Much love to you and the boys! Its so exciting that Justice is at 24 days and Tuck is at 4 days!!! :wbd3: From your ever loving family, catwatching.gif guardian angel rt, tra, eb, Bill, and im.

WHOAAAA.... YEAAAAAA.... HOORRRAYYYY... AND KEEP THOSE TRAINS A CHUGGIN!!!!! WAY TO GO BOYS!!! WE LOVE TO SEE THOSE LITTLE WIGGLE BUTTS GOIN' DOWN THE TRACK!!!

:motimonkey: :motimonkey: :motimonkey: :motimonkey: :motimonkey:

Hey Cindy... This is just such great news. I love to read that the boys are on the train, sleeping late, barking at the horses and giving you time to rest!!! What a wonderful world it is!!!

I would love to have seen the foal. What an amazing miracle of life huh? I just love horses, and when I read yours or Debbies words about them, it makes me wish I lived on a farm (that was always a dream of mine). I don't really need a big farm now that I'm older, but I'd love to be able to have a horse or two, a few more dogs, maybe some (dirty) chickens... yep... that's me... Farmer Granny. LOL Oh heck... who am I kidding.. I have enough trouble getting the energy up to take care of my house let alone a farm. LOL :P

I think you were right when you said RT was behind all of our postings yesterday. He was (and still is) such a special little guy. He was probably up there directing each and every key on our keyboard.

I've got to get to some other threads, so I'm gonna cut out of here now. By the way.. Mike is doing so much better today. Thanks for keeping track of him and loving him like you do.

Give the boys some special treats from Auntie Jo and some nose kisses from the Westie cousins.

Love & Hugs

Hi Cindy and boys,

Sorry I have been having a difficult time keeping up with the forum and I am late with this, but the CONGRATS on the 21-butt salute is a sincere one from me and Cody :motimonkey: I'm so happy both boyus are on the train! That's so cool that they slept thru the night and let you get some sleep as well - you need it! Wow, lots has been posted since I last got on the boys' thread, but it sounds like things are going pretty well overall, and that makes me and Cody very happy :) We hope things continue to go this well.

:hugs: to you and the boys

WOW!!!! Look at Justice GO I hope he keeps on keeping on!

Tuck's ice cream train is lookin' pretty good too. I hope we see it get as long as Justice's!

P.S. Who sent this rain and cold weather this way? If the boys don't want the storms and cold-- send them WEST to Jack- not this way.

Hi Cindy,

A new foal, I love horses and babies are so sweet especially watching them trying to get around on those spindly long legs they have. We have some work horses at a farm near work that I pass every day and I love seeing the babies out there with their moms. Something beautiful about babies of any kind.

I'm so glad the boys are still on their trains and the storms are passing you by. We don't need any derailments. You go boys there is no stopping you now!!!!!!!!

Got a busy day tomorrow, have a couple guys coming to help with yard work and spring clean up. My grass is almost a foot high needs mowing but I've got some big branches that need to be moved and I can't do it. Now is the only time I wish I had an OH to get the stuff done I can't do. I hope you and the boys have a wonderful weekend and the trains keep chugging along. CHOO CHOO

Hugs to you and the boys

Tuckie is at FOUR DAY'S!!!!

Justice is at TWENTY-FOUR DAY'S!!!!

=======J1 :icecream5::icecream5::icecream5::icecream5: =======

=======J2 :icecream4::turtle3: ====================== :dogsled:

They are sacked out in my room.

We just had some pouring rain, and hoping we don't have storms.

Hi im, I hope u, Bill, eb and tra are having a peaceful evening, and maybe doing some star gazing.

Hugs and love to all of u!

Hi Joanna, u need what Carol and David have here. We don't live on a farm at all. It's just a house on a hill and some acreage that is fenced in for the 5 dogs, and across from the house a stable they built and 2 small pastures for the 3 horses. Not NEARLY what they should have (so they eat hay year round), but 2 pastures that can be separated with a gate. They only have a little more then 1/2 acre for the pastures. The puppers have fencing that totally goesaround the house (which is SO nice). There are 2 gated areas so we can block them off from specific areas (block their way to Justice's monutain/hill, and another fence blockes and makes a very small area in back where they go and can be safe after dark from the coyotes.

It was so cool seeing the sack that was around the foal (looked like a dirty brown ripped up T-shirt).

It's so cool we can watch this filly grow up. I did some healing touch for animals (HTA) on mom and the foal--way cool!!!!!!!!

Hugs to the 3 of u!!

Hi Tracy, I am glad u are here. I was excited for u to see the 21 butt salute, but I know u are having a tough time finding time to be at IMOM. I am sooo happy the boys are still on the train.

I am so sorry Cody had a bad night with chucking. Boy, the chucking was much worse then usual. Sending lots of positive thoughts for Cody--and I'll be sending more tonight.

Hugs to u both.

Hi Paula2, (I don't know where the other Paula went...I miss her). Thanks for checking on the boys. I always want everyone to see the trains when they are getting longer, but there are several people I want especially to see it...and u are definately one of them.

I just want u to know how well they are doing.

Well we had pouring rain not long ago. Looking at the radar, more is coming. I can't tell if some pop up storms may be in the rain-I hope not. I don't know why the wind is taking all this to u. I agree-Mike would love it!!!

Hugs to u and the kids

Hi Michelle, I sure hope the storms are gone for the boys and Syd's sake. I gave the boys big hugs from u--they send back wiggles!! STORMS STAY AWAY FROM SYD!!

Hugs to u, Syd and Charlie

Hi Debs, it was incredible watching this foal learn over abt an hour that we were there to make her way around--and try to nurse. She would just touch mom's teat, and milk would pour out--all over the foals head. LOL. She was still learning when we left.

Have a good weekend-sounds busy. I hope we have great news for u on Monday.

hugs to u and the kids

Thanks so very much angels!!

Hi Cindy,

Sounds like you guys have a really nice place, perfect for the dogs. I can't wait until we can move some where with grass! The country girl in me needs a big ole yard. How awesome to see the baby foal. That is one thing I really miss since my dad sold our cattle farm...the babies! We had one cow that died right after giving birth so my Dad moved the calf into a dog pen in our back yard. I bottle fed it until it got big enough to go back into the pasture.

Glad to see the boys are still chugging along. Justice has just been remarkable here lately. You too Tuck, I am not playing favorites...I love you both the same! The boys are usually pretty sweet around dogs so I think Justice would be ok. They tend to take out their aggression on each other. Yay! A play date...we can just hop on a plane.

Graduation is actually tomorrow morning. I am really hoping the family doesn't decide to come to our house afterwards b/c it is a mess! All grades have to be turned in by Monday night. My office said I can continue to work there through the summer, which is great b/c it will be no problem if I have to miss to interview.

I am glad you knew what I was refering to with the chewie thing. I have went to give it to her twice and she hasn't been out there either time...which is a good thing.

Ok boys...for graduation, I want the trains to get longer!!

Love to you all,

Amy

The boys are fine and sleeping. I wasn't feeling well earlier, so that's why the post is late--or early.

Both little boys are snuggled down in their bagel beds -which of course are on top of my bed, so they are against me.

Hi Amy, CONGRATS GIRL!!!! Well u are graduating this AM. :bravo::waycool:

The boys and I are proud of u!!

It's super u can keep the job for the summer-that must ease ur mind a bit. What abt Adam-will he work during the summer?

This is a wonderful place to live--although sometimes it feels like mayberry!!

Have fun today. I hope u have a good speaker. I can hear the Pomp and Circumstance already!

hugs!

Thanks so much angels. I am hoping to grab some sleep before the boys wake for a new day of seizure free playing!

The boys made it thru the night!

Tuck will be at 5 days this eve-cross paws.

Justice IS at 25 days!

Tuck is doing well. He was running around with his carrot giggle toy this morning.

Justice has been making everyone crazy. Since this AM he barks at everything, and won't stop when he is told to stop. He doesn't bark much inside except when someone comes home. So this has been different behavior. Everyone is a bit frustrtated with the little boy today. Mr Barky von schnauzer!

At the moment he is curled up against me.

Hi Leah, thanks for checking on us.

I had a chance to go this eve with my friend Niki(and the boys general vet) while she looks at 6 week old GSD puppies. But, just not up to it today.

Maybe Justice needs me here anyway. I don't know if he is just misbehaving today...or pre-seizure behavior.

I guess I would worry abt him while I was gone anyway.

I hope Cole is having a good day and letting u write ur papers!!!

hugs to u both!

Thanks so much angels!!!!!!

The boys got their Keppra and Felbatol. I honestly just can't thank you all enough.

OK, Justice has gone beyond stinker today!!

First all the barking, and seeming to bark even more when he is told to stop.

Then he was outside in the smaller area, and the other 4 dogs were at the door ready to come in. I let them in and see Justice standing in the grass, and I ask him where he found that big stick...that is in his mouth. Then I saw the coloring on the side of the stick...it was a snake. At least as soon as I said DROP IT!-he opened his mouth wide and let it fall out, and came to me. The snake is no longer of this world.

THEN, it was time for their dinner. David opened the sliding door off the deck, and all 5 came. Justice came up the deck and decided to take off. David called several times and he ignored him. I told David to just feed the other 4, and Justice would hear Rustie bark as David was filling bowls.

He was near the deck, but didn't pay any attention, and didn't care that the others were eating.

I told David if he weren't such a skinny mini I would not feed him tonight. David said--"but he gets meds (Tylan) in his food." Well, I wouldn't really have not fed him, but ARRRGGH he is making me nuts.

This is totally new behavior for him. It's like he suddenly went into the terrible two's.

I am going between wanting to have him go sit in the corner (can u do that with a dog?), and worrying something is happening in his brain, and he is gonna break through with a seizure.

Normally when I am not feeling well, both boys are busy being nursemaids and are so well behaved (they typically are well behaved at home with all of us). Tuckie is being a very good little boy.

What has happened to my well behaved, sweet little boy.

OMG, he is turning into his sister Rustie!!! EEEEK!

Thanks for letting me vent!!!

Thansk so much angels!

I don't know Cindy I think a time out may be in order :)

So how many rug rats do you have? It sounds like a house full. I hope this behavior has nothing to do with his brain but just that he is feeling soooooo good he has decided to test his limits, sounds to me like he is doing a great job.

Rest, I will try to study now,

Leah

P.S. By the way, as I write this the kittly is by my side growling because Cole is in front of me panting away waiting for another throw of the ball. Talk about energy, I think sedatives might work...just kidding of course.

Justice is at TWENTY-FIVE DAY'S!!!

=======J1 :icecream5::icecream5::icecream5::icecream5: ========

=======J2 :icecream5::turtle3: ======================== :dogsled:

Hi Leah, I live with a married couple and another woman--all of them are retired. Carol and david have

2 mini's-Abbie (Tuck's littermate-both 7yo) and Rustie (Justice's littermate-both 5yo). Then Nancy has Gunner (Abbie and Tuck's dad-he is 11 yo).

Carol and David also have 3 horses.

So 5 mini schnauzers and 3 horses. The puppers are all with each other during the day and eve. At night is when they separate. So they are "community puppers"-we all take care of all 5.

Have u seen the commercial where the kids are making mom crazy and she says "someone needs a time-out"--and the mom goes in her bedroon and shuts the door, so she gets the time out. That's what I got for awhile. Actually Justice just stayed downstairs. Carol said a couple hours ago he had a mini meltdown barking manicly thru the house when everyone was heading outside.

I hope a good nights sleep helps him!!

Keep writing!!!!!!!

hugs to u and the kids!

Thanks so much angels!!

The boys like the CD-it's just a taste of the regular CD-but it's good-I put it on repeat.

I knew Tuck would be fine, since he was in the research for the calming study (he was in a epilepsy study too).

have a good day tmw!!

Hugs.

I am abt to let the boys out and bring them to bed. Maybe Justice needs to get up on the other side of the bed tmw! LOL.

I just hope this is not leading to a seizure!

Thanks angels!

No seizures from either boy.

I was worried Justice would break through during the night-but he was OK. Tuckie had a tummy ache during the night-some nausea , but no vomiting. He got me up a couple times-but he is racing around playing today.

Just the opposite of yesterday-Justice is very quiet and clingy. Go figure!

There is thunder and it looks like this time the storms will not miss us. <sigh>

If I can get back on this eve...

Justice IS at 26 days!

Tucker hopefully will be at 6 days this eve!

Gotta get off, thunder getting closer.

Thanks so very much angels.

Oh my... a SNAKE??? Sounds like little Justie is really feeling his oats. He's ready to take on the world now, one snake at a time. (Don't tell Deb about this though.. she'll freak out).

I'll tell ya Cindy... sounds like David & Carol have the perfect place. It's just what I'm looking for. Let them know I'll be moving in by the end of the month. :cool026:

Cold and rain today... yuck. Hopefully Spring will "really" get here sometime before June.

Just stopped in to check on the boys. Give them some belly rubs for me.

Happy Mother's Day!!!!
