Hi Cindy,

I am so glad to read that the boys are doing fine!! That really cheers me up. :) YAY! Boys, stay right on the same trains you're on, and get to 23 and 3 days respectively.

I hope you got to enjoy the beautiful day. I hope that Justice doesn't have to go out again at 4 AM. Hopefully it was just a one-time thing.

Tuckie is at 24 days!!!!

===T1 :icecream5::icecream5::icecream5::icecream5::turtle2: ===

===T2 :icecream4::turtle: ==================

Not so good news abt Justice though. He DID make it to 3 days--but almost to the minute (11:30PM) he had a GM. The same thing as before, he had it downstairs and Carol was there. Justice arched his back, became stiff and was unconscious. It's weird he isn't having the paddling--he always has until the last GM.

Now, Tuck has had this type of GM often--he will have tonic seizures. The first part of a GM is falling over, unconscious and Tuck would get stiff and arch (like Justice has done the last 2 seizures). Often with GM's they have tonic/clonic seizures. The first part is the stiffening and arching (the tonic part), and then it goes into the paddling (clonic part).

I wish I had answers of what is going on in his brain. I guess I worry that something is actually going on in his brain besides the neurons mis-firing. Something that is causing this.

I have thought abt changing his kibble--maybe it's bothering him. I don't think any of his docs know what to do with him...

Anyway, Justice did get to 3 days, so he deserves his train

===============J :icecream3::turtle: ==================

Tmw night I hope he will be back at 1...

Thanks so much angels!!

Aw rats  Cindy, I'm sorry about Justice. I'm glad he got his 3 days, but I wish the poor little guy didn't have to have a GM. Those sound so scary. I hope that you and/or the vets can figure out what's going on inside that doggie brain of his, and why it's misfiring.

I'm happy for Tuckie, though!! Yay for Tuckie butt!! :)

I hope Tuck stays on and Justice gets on a new train tomorrow.

Hi Cindy,

Poor Justice but we should give him a WooHoo for his 3 days at the very least. I hope he will jump back on that train very soon.

Hugs to you Cindy and give the boys some snuggles and nuzzels.

awwww darn  poor Justice. I understand what you mean Cindy, about wanting to know what going on inside thier heads. It must be frustrating for you and I'm so sorry. I'm glad you put a train up for Justice, he does deserve it, poor guy. I'm glad you got a great day outside too. Fresh air and sunshine always makes me feel better, hope it worked for you and the boys too.

:aktion033::aktion033::aktion033: For Tucker. He's doing so good, I'm so happy for him and you.

Cindy,

Justice can't help it his train was derailed by the f-moon. It was shining so bright last night i swear it was daylight.Plus wth the wacked out weather you guys have---ssshheeesh a brain can't get a break. :P Now if we can just harness what Tuckie has and give it to Justice..that would be great.

Tuckie is doing fine--tonight he will be at 25 days!!

Justice hasn't had anymore seizures since the GM last night. He is a bit clingy, but he has been outside part of the day busy looking for bugs, birds, squirrels and turkeys.

I did leave a VM for Mari, asking if I can speak with the neuro next Tuesday, while I am at MedVet with Tuck for his cardiology appt.. I think we need another plan with Justice. Oh, God, I can't believe I am saying this, but maybe he needs to go back on the metronidazole and amoxi again. Maybe the helicobacter isn't quite gone. I HATE to think of putting him back on a drug that again may make seizures worse while on it--but maybe that's what he needs. The neuro can discuss everything with the IM vet if need be.

Oh Mari just called, but I need to go a storm popped up. The neuro though isn't there the same day as Tuck goes to MedVet. She set up an appt on this Thursday--but he may call tmw, so I may not need to go--we'll see.

dang storm too close.

Thanks angels!!

Cindy,

you may be dead on in regards to the anitbitiocs.Justice had this quite a while so he may need two rounds of antibiotcs to get rid of the Helicobactor. Is it contagious among dogs (it is in humans by droplet) Hope ypou have a quiet night put in the relaxation CD and fall asleep.

Yay Tucker! We're all hoping that you are going to make it to an entire month! (And beyond, of course!)

Justice, I'm so sorry to read about your GM. I hope that your outdoor excursion looking for snacks (mmmm, bugs!) helped you feel better.

The storms seem to be over until tmw.

I gave a quick version of what happened when the storm hit--here is a little more info-

Mari called. The neuro isn't in any Tuesday in May--and of course, next Tues is when I hoped to talk with him while I am at MedVet anyway. So she said he can call me (that's worked really well in the past--NOT), or they can work Justice in on Thursday. I was torn abt what to do--a huge part wants to have an actual face to face with him, but I hate the expense if it could be done over the phone. So what Mari and I decided, is that since now the neuro has set time aside early AM's to call owners, I am on the list for tmw AM. If he doesn't call tmw or Wed AM, then I'll just take Justice in to see him. If he does call, he and I can decide then if I should also bring him in.

So we'll see what happens...

Both boys are OK. Tuckie is sleeping on the recliner with his head near the open window (I'm sure so he can pop up quickly if any intruders are on the property--like raccoons) and bark.

Justice is downstairs sacked out on the couch. oops, he just came into the bedroom and up the ramp and is now beside me.

Of course I needed to take some time and hug and cuddle the little boy and tell him how much all his auntie's and uncles (like Larry) love him.

Hi Tracy, I hope we get this figured out too with Justice. I wasn't expecting the GM again last night. I think Carol would prob rather me stay upstairs tonight with Justie so she doesn't see a GM again so soon!!!

hugs

Hi Lynette, the boys loved the snuggles and nuzzles!!! They thank u, and send licks and wags back!! hugs

Hi Deb, u are so right, that fresh air and sunshine (and puppers, of course--kitties and horses too!) make u feel better. I sat outside with the boys for awhile and then played ball with Tuckie. He thinks if any human walks outside--the only reason could be to kick or throw his ball for him. LOL. The bad thing is, he will bark and bark at the ball trying to make it happen!! hugs

Hi Paula, boy that moon WAS bright last night. Carol was sure it was the f-word. It technically starts after MN Tues night, but it can affect patients within a day or two either direction. Mari said the calls have already started, and they will have several calls of pets breaking thru this week. Geesh!

The Internal Med specialist said --OK gross alert--that if a dog eats another dogs upchuck they *could possibly* get it. He said the helicobacter lives under the lining of the stomach (which is why they don't see it is there--it takes a biopsy), so even if the dog ate the others puke, it is buried pretty far in the stomach lining, so it's doubtful any would be in the upchuck-but is possible.

I love the relaxation CD. U know it's funny, it isn't music I would enjoy listening to if I was trying to do something on the puter, etc--it's not soothing to me, and yet the music puts me to sleep!!!

I also have an HTA CD--now that one I could play anytime of day--it is soothing. Is that weird or what?? Maybe since I don't get past the 20-25min mark--that music is fine. It must be the second half hour I have woken to and thought--well that's kinda annoying. LOL.

I love Kay for thinking of the CD for the boys--not sure she realized how much it would help me too!!!

Gosh girl, it's great to *see* u!!!! I miss u!!! hugs

Hi Laurie, it was good seeing Justice in "hunting" mode. He wears a muzzle outside if no one is with him, which I hate, but it sure has proven that his being sick isn't from anything he has picked up in the yard.

I will tell u, I am just a little bit worried he does have IBD. I realize the biopsies just showed the helicobacter--but all this started again when he got ahold of some of Tuck's food he is allergic to. It just seems that he gets into one thing and it starts a domino effect. Even the IM vet was surprised from the inflammation in one area of the small intestine, that it wasn't IBD. But, then again, he did get better with the helicobacter tx. LOL, just making myself crazy.

It will be interesting to see what the neuro wants to do. I just hope it's not to increase his seizure meds--but he doesn't do that without good reason. If he thinks this is GI related--that's what he will work on with the IM vet.

I've been thinking abt u. Sending lots of hugs.

Hi Martha Jane, u have a busy week, and we appreciate u checking in--although we know u are thinking abt the boys even if u can't post--just like we do of u, and Baila. hugs to u and all the kids.

Thanks so much everyone for all the support.

Now if we can just harness what Tuckie has and give it to Justice..that would be great.

Paula wrote that. I find it just amazing how the tides have turned. For all the angels from the first day here at IMOM, and all through this journey--I am sure it seemed like those thoughts would never be put with Tucker. I sure never would have thought Tucker would be doing so well.

It may be temporary...but the ride is beautiful.

Thanks for reminding me of that Paula.

Thanks so much angels!!

Hi Cindy,

Yay for the 2 trains!!

CIndy, that's SO cool! :)

I hope the neuro calls you back tomorrow, and you can decide where to go from there. I am holding Justice close in my thoughts and prayers  I want him to get better and have a train as long as Tuckie's.

LOL about Tuckie and his ball. That's so cute!

Yikes, I didn't know all that about heliobacter and how it lives under the stomach lining? Eeks! No wonder it can be hard to detect.

:hugs: to you and the boys.

Tuckie is still doing great!!! He is trying as hard as he can not to let that ole full moon get him.

Justice is trying as hard as he can too, but he still isn't feeling well and is clingy. He was so restless and moving positions so much from abt 3:30am-7:15am.

The neuro didn't call this AM. I don't know if he may still call tmw AM. He may have seen Justice's seizure log that was faxed in last night, and saw what was going on as far as seizures, nausea, etc, and decided he would prefer me to keep the Thursday appt with Justice--or he had some emergencies and just didn't have time to call. I guess I will know tmw.

Hi Tracy, Tuckie just loves to play with balls--esp tennis balls that squeak. But I am not kidding that when a human walks outside the door he will run to one of his big balls and u can hear grrrrrrr at it and he wrestles for a minute, then he looks at the person and barks at the ball. Then if no one wants to play, he sometimes will pull grass up around it, like he is trying to make it be able to roll and he can chase it. lol. Such a silly boy!!!

Hi Laura, Aw tell Chloe that Tuckie is so glad she is doing the happy dance.

Tuckie will be at 26 days tonight!!! I wish that darn f-word wasn't tonight, but I told the boys to take the energy in as a positive energy. Hug the kids!!!

We have a severe thunderstorm watch thru this eve.

I should be able to get back on later this eve.

Thanks angels!

Hi Cindy,

Oh, how cute!! :) What a cute and silly boy he is. I hope the f-word doesn't affect Tuckie's awesomely long train. I'm sorry Justice doesn't seem to be feeling well. Hopefiully you'll know more tomorrow, if the neuro calls you. I hope he does.

I didn't think the thunder/lightening would ever stop--it went on for abt 5 hours!! It just stopped--at least I hope it has!!

Tuckie is still doing fine!!!

Tuckie is at 26 days!!!

===T1 :icecream5::icecream5::icecream5::icecream5::turtle3: ===

===T2 :icecream5::1icecream::turtle: ==============

Little Justice broke thru with some partials/CP's abt 9 :30pm. <sigh>

for my little Justie who is trying so hard: [attachmentid=2874]

The good news is--I got the weird seizure on video (yup their camcorder is here--that's a story in itself!!)!!!! I am sooo happy. I want the neuro to watch the video becuz it is strange what Justice does. Maybe these bobble heads, and opening his mouth several times in a row, as though he is going to yawn, but never quite completing it, is actually a muscle problem--maybe that's why Justice keeps having them--seizure meds wouldn't help. Mari said that's why he likes to see video's--sometimes they aren't seizures.

I'm not saying Justice isn't an epileptic--he certainly has GM's--but MAYBE all this smaller stuff is not actual seizures???? Tuckie has bobbed his head and Sue (his last neuro) saw it several times, and so I know Tuck's are seizures.

Justice does add some weird elements, plus I know dogs can have myastenia gravis and other muscle issues just like humans. I just want the neuro to say they are nothing to worry abt and we don't count them as seizures--or any disease!!!

The neuro will have to actually look at the LCD screen of the camcorder, since I haven't got the disk burner they got figured out. David said yesterday that he is so glad I am the one learning to work the camera, and then I can just show him what to do. I am so electronically and computer impaired...but I must say, I can at least program a VCR. David doesn't even check the answering machine--it's too complicated. lol.

I am so not happy Justice broke through--and yet, I am SO happy I got the weird seizures on tape!!

Well Justice has been drugged and Tuck *seems* OK--so I hope the rest of the night is uneventful!!

Last night we sure didn't sleep much. I hope tonight is different!!

Hi Tracy, I am crossing everything that the f-word doesn't mess up Tuck's long train. I hope Coot isn't getting too tired--he does have some nice icecream he can snack on if he is gtting tired being the Cootductor!! Hugs and chicken to Cody!!

Hi Linda and Lynette--thanks so much for checking in on the boys--it means so much to me!!! hugs

Thanks so much angels!

:magicmoon: watch over the boys if u have time please.

MY BOYS!! Oh how I've missed my boys!!! ;) So glad to hear Tuckie is at 26 days.. FANTASTIC... I think I might have wiggled my butt on that one too!!

And Justice! Oh what a doll for trying so hard!! Kudo's to you, and keep it up! One day at a time, right?? :)

Hi Cindy! Boy, have I sure missed you guys! I havent read thru all of your book (Ive missed weeks!) b/c I wanted to get to the end and see how the boys and you were doing! It reminds me of when I was a kid and I would sneak a look at the back of the book just to see how it would end. Then I would go back through and read all the stuff between the beginning and the end  Yep! Im a weirdo!!!

Hoping all goes well and you can get some rest! Give the boys scratches and treats from us and throw the ball for Tuckie for me!!!

PS.. Crossing my fingers that they arent seizures OR anything else too!! Wouldnt that be nice?!?!

Hi Gabs, boy have we missed you!!!! Do u have a school break now?

LOL, we were just talking tonight abt how some people sneak a peek at the end of the book, and other's don't (everyone I live with does). I don't, but with the IMOM PIN's I would do the same, and just have to see how they are right now.

It is a bit time consuming to catch up here even after a couple days. lol.

Can u believe we just started part 4 of their thread!!! Each thread is nearly 1,000 posts--and of course they had 3 at the old site! We are so blessed to have so many friends here.

I have been worried abt u, and hope u are feeling better.

Thanks for checking on the boys. Yep, it seems it is one day at a time for Justice now!!!

Tuckie will be SO excited when I throw the ball for him tmw for u!!!!

Hugs to u, Layla and Dove!

The boys are sleeping. They have been restless (hence my still being up at 3AM) for a lot of the night. I think part of it is the heat. It's pretty warm in my room becuz I can't open the windows too wide becuz of the rain. The storm was supposed to bring a cold front, but it's still warm and humid. At least it's not in the 80's like it was all day!!

I just opened the windows wide, and wouldn't u know the pups could hear what I guess was 2 raccoons screeching. I shut the window. They seem to have stopped, so going to open it again. Maybe the power will stay on long enough to put om the

C/D!!

Thanks so much angels!

Hi Cindy,

I am so glad the f-word didn't derail Tuckie!! I'm sorry about Justice, though  That's good that you were able to get his weird seizure activity on video. That should help the neuro out. We're crossing all fingers and paws here that these are nothing to worry about and the neuro will tell you as much, soon.

I hope those racoons don't start screeching again, so you can open up the window and cool down the place. And hopefully the boys will not be so restless, and you can all get some much-needed sleep.

:hugs: to you and the boys from me and Cody
