  1. My baby boy was hit by a car on Friday and needs to be kept on oxygen until we can afford to see a surgeon in either Boston or Manchester. PLEASE HELP US SAVE HIM. They will euthanize him if we can't get the money together
  2. Liam's Orthopedic Surgery

Hi, My name is Sabrina and I own a 3.5 year old neutered male chihuahua. His name is Liam, he is 7lbs and white. On Saturday, January 16th, Liam decided he was going to jump from my arms (approximately 4 feet off the ground since I was standing) onto the cement floor. He landed wrong on his front left leg and ultimately fractured his radius and ulna. Doctors say that in order to fix his fracture, a splint would not do the job due to the lack of blood flow in that area of the body in small dogs. Liam would need to undergo a fracture repair orthopedic surgery or an amputation. I am a college student working multiple jobs on minimum wage and unfortunately will not be able to afford the $2,500 orthopedic surgery and its additional costs of post care. I have instead decided to have his leg amputated for around $800, which is still going to be quite a bill for me. His consultation is scheduled for Friday, January 22nd, and his amputation, tentatively, the 26th. Can anyone please help me?
  3. My nearly 4 year old Chiweenie, Luigi, was just admitted into the ICU this morning and must stay for several days. He has been having cluster seizures affecting his vision and ability to walk or stand, eat or drink. He is in critical condition and is about to undergo an MRI and Spinal TAP if they can stabilize him. We are needing donations to keep him in the ICU for several more days. The reasoning for the MRI and Spinal TAP is due to his brain inflammation and seizures. The testing is crucial because we need to figure out how to treat him, in a timely manner due to his condition being possibly fatal. We truly love our dog, and he plays just as big a part of our family as a child would. We would be eternally grateful to have him back home.. Any help would mean the world to us. Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this post. We were able to cover the costs for his consultation, medicine, and MRI/spinal tap for tomorrow, though the following days for treatment and boarding are completely beyond our financial capabilities. **We were unable to take any pictures of him in this stage so far because they took him into the ICU so quickly. Attached are some pictures of him before this happened. We will be sure to update photos as soon as are able to see him.
  4. Hello, my name is Cassandra. I just recently turned 18 about 2 months ago. I live with my parents, and i'm about a month away from graduating high school. I've been having an issue getting a job in my small home town, so i have no income. My mother had planned on getting a kitten for my cat who was lonely a lot. We hoped it would help her get more exercise as well as give her a playmate. But sadly the kitten turned out not to be entirely potty trained, got into our food, was always walking in between our legs making us trip, and we just couldn't afford him since he used up so much litter peeing, so we had to take him back. The kitten had peed on a lot of our stuff which made my cat venus (who is 2 1/2 years old) upset, this was her territory and now it had his scent. We started noticing something wrong with her around the time we were getting ready to take the kitten back. She stopped eating and drinking water. Two days after the kitten was finally gone but she still hadn't eaten or peed. She started laying around and looked really depressed and would make sounds like she was vomiting but nothing would come up (still does). Eventually she began to have a raspy meow, we were unable to take her to the vet due to how expensive it is. So i had to ask a friend, telling him I would pay him back once i get a job. So 4-5 day after this started occurring, he took my cat to the vet. They put fluid in her, gave her canned food, and a pill that gave her an appetite so she would eat. They also had done x-rays, every thing looked fine except for her intestine track, she had a lot of gas and an obstruction, but the picture of the x-ray wasn't clear enough to tell what it was. It also showed poop near her rear. So i took her home, she had no issue with eating all her canned food and i put water in her hard food in hope to keep her stool soft, me and my parent where hoping that it would be constipation. . . but she only pees and still will not go poop. We have given her cat medicine, olive oil, and the vets gave her stuff that should have let her pass whatever is in there. Still no poop has shown in the liter box and it has been a week now. I really don't want to put her down but my mom said i have to find funds for surgery quickly or put her down. She is my best friend, she is like my daughter to me, i love her, i have issues sleeping without her, and she is also so young. She helped me get through so much in life and saved me so many time. I feel horrid because i can't afford to save her. I don't know what to do. I have signed up for so many fund, applied for more jobs. I'm doing every thing i can, but i'm not sure how I will get 2000 so soon for such urgent care. I haven't been able to stop crying knowing she may be in pain and dying. So please if anyone can help, every little bit counts. Please help me save my best friend who helped get me through so much of my life. I am grasping at straws now, scraping the bottom for change. I love her so much, I can't bare to see her go. Would anyone be willing to help save a life? My parent's told me her life is in my hands now . . .
  5. Cujo needs help

Hi. I'm Lauren and my dog Cujo is in dire need of help. He was admitted to the hospital yesterday with the pretense that he ingested something he should not have. After Xrays and blood work, it turned out that Cujo needed what seemed to be, a routine surgery to remove a foreign body. When they got in there, Cujo had his intestines perforated, and had 3 ft, removed. His body has turned septic as a result from the build up of bacteria and the holes found. Cujo is my best friend as well as my one year olds. I have had him since he was a mere 6 weeks old, running in front of my car, on New Years almost 4 years ago. I have watched him grow and applied a lot of tough love. Cujo has always been there for me and is always looking out for my son. He knows and emotions, and has always been able to make a bad day, good. I don't want to lose my best friend. He needs more time to heal and get better. But with each passing day, another few thousand dollars gets sucked in. I don't have that as a single mother... I don't want to give up on him because of money. Cujo has never given up on me, and I will surely not give up on him. Please help support my best friend.
  6. Russell urgently needs surgery

Russell is a 1-2 yr old Jack Russell mix that was brought into the vet clinic by the sheriff department on Monday, 1/7/13, he was hit by a car and in the street. We were initially going to euthanize him, but he was wagging his tail and so sweet, we didn't have the heart. X-rays revealed he has a severely broken pelvis and femur. So he will need orthapedic surgery. He became ward of the county shelter for 5 days to see if an owner came forward. Which never happened. We ahave been keeping him comforable on pain medications, and today his 5 days are up. The shelter was planning on euthanizing him today, but we have stepped in and got a repreive until Tuesday to see if we can raise funds to have his surgery done. We are a very small rescue (4 people) who work at a vet clinic and take the ones that that the local shelter euthanizes due to medical reasons or injuries as the county has no budget for medical issues. We are despirate to help this little guy and find his forever loving home, that he so deserves. If you can help, please give what you can. Thank you Cheryl, Mel, Jenn and Arlene Deserving Pets Rescue p.s. pictures to follow, having trouble with attaching. sorry...
