  1. Renard is a loving 2-year-old husky border collie mix who contracted Leptospirosis. He is currently in kidney failure and needs all the help he can get to survive and go home to his loving family. Lepto is a bacterial disease that is contracted through wet areas, such as trails, toys, water bowls, etc. Currently the vaccine is optional, but I believe it should be mandatory as more cases are being reported and it is deadly. Please help in any way you can and spread the word about Leptospirosis so others do not have to suffer as they are. https://www.gofundme.com/renard039s-leptospirosis-recovery
  2. My fiancé and I bought a pure bred American Staffordshire Terrier at 10 weeks old, only to find out he was chronically ill and had not received any of his immunizations. We took him to the veterinary emergency hospital, after he vomited food and water for a whole day and had horrible diarrhea. The vet gave him a physical and tested for Parvovirus, which was thankfully negative. Ziggy was given an anti-nausea shot and prescribed anti-diarrhea and anti-nausea meds and sent home with instructions to feed him a bland diet of chicken baby-food and rice. Last night he continued to vomit and refused food, but kept water down okay, and still had diarrhea. He is very lethargic, nearly hypoglycemic, and won't give any food a second look. We called several vets and they all said the same thing and gave the same estimate, it looks like anywhere from 300 on the low end to over 1000 if he needs hospitalized. We're running out of options and don't know what to do. We put ourselves in debt for his last visit and they over-charged us for a parvo test and a physical, which turned up nothing, he' very weak and he sleeps all day because he's nearly hypoglycemic. He needs help urgently or he might not make it :(
  3. Baby Rebel and me

Hi my name is Devin and I recently adopted my puppy, Rebel from the SPCA last Wednesday and she was recently diagnosed with parvo a day ago. She is such a sweet soul it breaks my heart to have to leave her in the hospital and sick :(
  4. Hi, I'm introducing myself and my very sick little pup that I rescued. She is 8 weeks old and has a grade 3 heart murmur. I'm taking her to the cardio doc next week to see exactly how serious her heart defect is. Just to get in the door is between 6 and 7 hundred bucks. Somewhere I'll find the money...if it's a PDA murmur they can operate here in Richmond, VA where we live. If it's the other kind she will die without surgery and even then she will most likely have a short lifespan. So besides trying to find some money, I'm here for support and hoping there are some praying folks that will pray for this very little girl. Besides her heart she was the runt of the litter and she has a bobtail which is curved in a hook and that might have to be clipped so it won't grow into her body. Nice to meet everyone and any and all prayers would be gladly appreciated. Thank you Sandi Barrett

She then tried to come back across the street. In the process she was hit by a car. Jessie is an indoor dog. She has a chain she is attached to when she goes outdoors to use the restroom. She slipped out the door on accident. The family is more aware that Jessie is able to escape outside and will make sure the door is closed at all times.
