  1. Diamond Mays - 2y/o, Pomchi With Rectal Abnormalitis and Blockage.

OMG!! Diamond legitimately just pooped!! It's hilarious how excited we both were. She was struggling for a couple hours and just thought will have to take her to the vet tomorrow. Them boom she went. I hope this continues.

    Diamond has healed very nicely
  3. Diamond and myself would like to thank the IMOM volunteers and the Angels for all your help and donations to making Diamonds surgery possible. For the last 2 years Diamond would scream every time she went #2 and it was unbearable to watch. She had some difficulties but has healed very nicely. Now she need to gain control. Thank you all again for your help and donations. I'm so glad Diamond's life will not be cut short and will live happy and pain free. :)/>

I took Diamond to the vet to have an enema to get her cleaned out. She has been going #2 but I think it's just coming out because she is full. :(. The vet thinks she is scared but she was definitely scared before. Definitely haven't seen her even attempt to go. I am grateful that she is no longer screaming. I hope she gains 100% control eventually.

Diamond has been doing well as far as pain wise and mobility. She hasn't gone #2 a whole lot. Just a tiny bit each day. That's good because it is somewhat functioning. Hopefully soon she will have more control. Will take her to the vet after class today if they have time before they close to make sure she's not all full of stool which she probably is and clean her out. Thank you to all of you who are checking on Diamond .

Well Diamond pooped a tiny bit yesterday. I didn't see it. The vet also prescribed Miralax that I picked up a couple days ago. Since she wants to be a diva, I've been giving her chicken and sprinkling Miralax on it. Apparently the vet had found a hair ball that was causing blockage. I thought it was weird when I gave her a bath and pulled a long black hair out of her. I was like my hair isn't black. Ok... Just gave her meds again and hopefully she's poops sometime soon. Slowly but surely.

I just picked Diamond up. They did an x-ray and she was full of poop. So they sedated and cleaned her out. Apparently after she woke up she was able to go on her own. So hopefully she continues to do so.

Diamond started to throw up a little bit last night. I immediately called the vets and told them I didn't want to give her her last set of meds because it's too much compared to the amount of food she's actually consuming. Then I remembered it was yellow which I had looked up before which was the lining of her stomach. She use to throw up rarely in the middle of the night when she wouldn't eat so I use to keep her in the cage and keep telling her to eat. So they told me to feed her chicken. She ate that. I made some more in about an hour and she ate some of it. She was trying to poop all night. A little whimper of frustration but not as far as pain. I just dropped her off at the vet. They said they will sedate and try to fix I guess. They had stretched the tubing farther back which perhaps made the hole smaller. So they will try to make it bigger. Just needed time to heal. :(. Poor Diamond. Looks like this will be a long process.

Diamond is dough ok I guess. I have been giving her an anti-inflammatant, stool softener, antibiotics, and another pill antibiotic that I smash into powder and drop in her mouth LOL. Diamond hasn't been eating really but finally was late late last night. I sure she is frightened to eat after all the tampering with her new behind. I was a bit worried with what was going to come out if there is stool softener in her system. She has been attempting to go number 2. So far no screams. She tries for a few seconds. Maybe it will take practice before she has full control and strength. I'm hoping and waiting for the best.

I still have not seen her go #2. Only time will tell to see if she has control. Although it would be better either way that she's not in pain anymore. I gave her her meds for the first time. Was not fun. We will get through this time together. Will only get easier from here. Thank you Jamie and anyone else who's keeping up with Diamond. Goodnight.

I got a call late in the evening to pick Diamond up. I have to bring her in today in a couple hours to insert a catheter for whatever reason. I don't think the vet wanted her home yet but they said they could tell she wanted to go home and she would be happier. Her swelling looks like it has gone down. Still not a pretty sight but she will get there. Glad to have her home again. :)/>

Yes I definitely do have all these angels surrounding. I visited her yesterday and she was jumping up and down and excited. Her behind is still a bit swollen. The vet suggested keeping her one more day and I can take her home tomorrow. I just received a call from the vet and she said there's a tiny part of the tissue still that was infected and she had to sedate and try to cover again as she would put it. She still hasn't really pooped but she said she knows she has to soon. I asked her yesterday if they tried giving her the dog food I brought and she said she had just ate a big bowl which is good. Diamond'a body is just so use to holding so much stool I guess. Well I was hoping to take her home today but I guess possibly tomorrow. Can't wait for her the full recovery
