  1. The Bowers Six

I will take the last $40 of the matching challenge. Hope the Bowers 6 will get enough donations by Friday to keep that first appointment! Leslie
  2. Ebony Clark - 8 y/o Airedale with abdominal mass

Joline, I am very sorry to hear that Ebony has gone ahead. With help from you and Marissa, Miss Clara did everything she could to save Ebony. I hope you all can take comfort from that fact. Letting go when the time comes is the hardest thing we have to do, but it is also the right thing to do. I hope that in time the hole in Miss Clara’s heart (and yours) will be filled with happy memories of Ebony. All dogs are special but I have had three Airedales over the years and I know how extra-special they can be. Please let Miss Clara know my thoughts are with her, and with you and Marissa as well. Leslie
  3. I'm so sorry about Tazzy. You did everything you could for him, including the hardest thing. My thoughts are with you both. Leslie
  4. Matt, I'm so sorry to hear this. Roxy's time came way too soon, but you couldn't have been a better dad to her. I hope you can take comfort in the fact that you did everything you could for her. In that way she was one lucky girl. You are in my thoughts. Leslie
  5. Just sent $50 in memory of my brown tabby, Chloe, who went to the Rainbow Bridge in August. Hope Freddy is feeling better soon!
  6. Swirlie And Max Ortiz - Special Needs Cats -

Bibi, I was so sorry to hear about Swirlie. You were such a good mom to him, and gave him many extra years of happiness. Please don't blame yourself. We do the best we can with what we know, and you have always acted out of love and concern for your babies. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Max. Leslie
  7. Pockets Castello has earned her wings.

Lisa, I am so sorry that you and Pockets did not have more time together. No matter how long we have with our beloved animals, it never seems long enough. Your love for and dedication to Pockets has been truly amazing and inspiring. I know she loved you just as much as you loved her. She will be watching over you and I believe someday you will see each other again. Please take care of yourself. Leslie
  8. Yea!!! I am so relieved to know that Pudgy is home and doing lots better. I look forward to hearing that she is fully recovered and spayed (along with Ella). Then you will have no more worries about pyometra! You did a fantastic job of getting her the help she needed - I love happy endings! Leslie
  9. Jessie Wilke

Well, it is frustrating not to have a more definitive diagnosis, but at least you’ve got a start. My vet is a big believer in milk thistle for liver problems so I agree with Judy, you might want to check that out with yours. I know “inexpensive” is relative, but you can get the Wal-Mart brand pretty cheap. I’m sorry things are so tough for you right now, and hope they get better soon. Keep your spirits up for your girls! Even if you can’t give Jessie everything the vet recommends right away, she is happy to be with you and lucky to have you, and she knows you will do your best for her. I know she is thrilled to have her jingles back! I don’t post a lot but I will be checking in to see how you and Jessie are doing. Leslie P.S. Judy – Kathy put into words exactly what I was thinking – old is about ten years older than whatever you are! Hope you enjoy your day Sunday .
  10. Swirlie And Max Ortiz - Special Needs Cats -

Hi Bibi, Just wanted to let you know I think of you all the time. I'm on vacation now so have been on the forum a little bit lately and I am so sorry to hear of all that you have been going through. I sure hope that Henry makes it home, poor baby! I'm glad that Swirlie will be getting his dental. Please give him my love. I will keep you all in my thoughts. Leslie
  11. Roberta, I feel the same way. Here's hoping Pudgy doesn't need any more than a spay, but that if she does, all funds will be raised. Leslie
  12. Jessie Wilke

In honor of the birthday ladies, Judy and Roberta, I just sent the $68. Sweet dreams . I hope the vet gets to the bottom of Jessie's problems tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you both. Leslie
  13. This little girl is so cute, and her mom is trying so hard to save her. After the rough start she had in life she deserves to have many happy years ahead of her. Let's get her to AFR so that she can have surgery tomorrow. I will match the next $200 - let's do it! Leslie
  14. Bandit McLean

Donna, I am so very sorry about Bandit. You were a fantastic mom to him, and you both have been an inspiration to others. I know you will never forget him, and I believe that someday you will be together again. Until then, cherish his memory and share his love. Thinking of you Leslie
  15. Bubba Valdez - Blocked Stomach

I am so happy to know that Bubba is home where he belongs! I hope he will be back to his old self very soon. Have a wonderful Christmas together, and please keep us updated on Bubba's recovery. Leslie
