  1. A little over a week ago, I was getting ready to bury my sweet Brandy. I was actually looking for a spot in the yard to have my son dig the hole. I am on disability and a very tight fixed income. But I would lay down my own life for my beloved friends...Britney and Brandy.I give up a few things just to buy them the healthiest dog food possible.. Both strays that just showed up in my life as puppies and have never left my side since. They are my best friends, companions and protectors. When Brandy became ill, I wasnt too concerned at first...she has never been sick in 9 years...so I just figured she was just a little under-the=weather. But as the days passed...she stopped eating, drinking and even moving...of course, I then became concerned...I called around to find out how much to see my Brandy ASAP...no vet was available for less than 100!! So our local mobile vet said she would come AFTER HOURS...THAT DAY...for 1/2 that price!! I was sooo happy...She would give BRandy some medicine and make her well again........That was not the case at all! My poor Brandy was dying right before my eyes and I had no idea...Then I was told the very bad news. The price..OMG...I could barely afford the vet visit...now surgery!..What would I do?? I was told Brandy would probably die within 48 hours without this surgery..The terrible guilt I felt as the vet pulled away...I wished Brandy was with her...That I could of just wrote a check to save her life....I felt like I didnt deserve all the wonderful years of love and devotion Brandy had given me because when she needed me the most...I was unable to help her. I never knew places like IMOM existed ..but I was desperate to find out if there was someone out there in the same situation as me...There was a price on Brandy's life and I was determined to do what I could to pay it! I looked at check loan places and short term loans, ect..but no one would help....But then I found IMOM....At first, I didnt believe they would help me quickly enough..WOW was I soooo wrong!! From the moment I applied...Jamie emailed me every hour or so to help me through the process...She not only guided me through the steps, but was a cheerleader too...She gave me the confidence to not give up and look in other places while she was trying to help through IMOM...She gave me links to other agencies and just never left me stranded in my pursuit to save Brandy's life...IMOM approved me so quickly..I think it was less than 24hrs...They understood the urgency needed and didnt delay one minute...I truly believe it was Jamie who made sure the ball never stopped rolling...I was soo surprised on how quick Brandy was approved...My vet came that night...8pm!! Did surgery at 10pm!! Brandy's life was saved...and just barely...The vet said she probably wouldnt of made it one more day...She was hours away from leaving me far too soon. There are not enough words to thank all of the people involved with saving my Brandy........and there is more..To my amazement..I get an email that IMOM wants to help me spay my Britney, so this will not happen to her..........These are REAL animal lovers....They didnt just forget me after surgery...They wanted to help me even when I didnt ask.......What truly wonderful people....You are all in my prayers every night and I will always be a member...and always be grateful to all of you...Both me and Britney are so grateful you saved our friend Brandy.........Thank you all so much

Good morning my friends...Well last night was a little rough...Brandy was still not eating or drinking...But around 2am, I felt a little nudge on my hand...It was Britney, my other dog trying to wake me up. I got scared and went to Brandy's bed..She wasnt there, so I found her in the utility room drinking some water and tail wagging...And this morning she ate a little bit too...It looks like she is gonna do ok.......I will take some pics later and keep you updated...YEAH!!

Good Afternoon my friends...Well Brandy is now home......She is not quite out of the woods yet. The toxins are still in her blood stream and she is fighting hard to feel better, but she still wont eat or drink. She is now resting in her bed and I'm hoping to introduce some food and water later this evening...Her sister Britney is not leaving her side...She even went and dropped Brandy's favourite toy next to her...It was almost like she was trying to give her something to comfort her...Soooo sweet! Again, Pls keep Brandy in your Prayers and I will update you on her progress tonight

Good Morning my new friends. My wonderful Vet came to get Brandy last night. She is really a wonderful caring vet...NEVER charges after hours fees...and her fees are about a 1/3 of others in the area. Well, she came and got Brandy around 8pm last night and performed her surgery around 10pm. I cried like a baby, it was her 1st time away from home. :( She called me around 11:30pm to let me know that Brandy was waking up just fine and surgery was successful. She also said that one more day...Brandy might not of made it...She was severly Toxic and her uterus was at max she has ever seen. She will be observing her today because she still has toxins in her system, but I might be able to bring her home tonight...YEAH!! Her sister Britney will be sooo happy, she paced the home all night looking for Brandy. Again, there is not enough "Thank you's" in the world I can say to all of you for saving my friend.........More to come tonight....Have a wonderful day my friends.

Well we just got the word that the WONDERFUL people here at IMOM have funded to save my sweet Brandy's life! Here is a picture of her waiting for the vet to come get her. I have a WONDERFUL vet also! She and her husband have this great mobile vet service and they are actually CHEAPER than going to a vets office. She spends quality time with your friend and its not traumatic for the pet either...I'll post a picture of her mobile office when she comes to pick up Brandy. I want to give a SPECIAL thank you to someone I have not ever met or spoken with. Her name is Jamie. She has been right on top of this since last night...What a wonderful person...She didnt stop until I did it right and she got me approved...There is truley a special place in Heaven for people like her...Thank you Jamie. I'm sure there are many more "Behind the Scenes" people working that made this possible..Dont think Brandy and I are not grateful...You have a friend and community member for life!! I thank you all from the bottom of my heart...That as of yesterday was broken at the thought of losing my best friend..........GOD BLESS YOU ALL. Well Brandy will be having Emergency Surgery TONIGHT...actually in a couple hours...She still isnt out of the woods yet...So please lets keep Brandy and ALL the others in our prayers tonight. I will post as soon as I know something....Again, Thank you all!!

Good morning my new friends. This is my first time here, and I found you accidently looking for help for my sweet Brandy. Brandy is my 9 1/2 yr old mix breed friend. She became ill for the 1st time EVER a few days ago. I had her examined yesterday and she is in need of immediate surgery to save her life. I feel so ashaned of myself that I cannot do it immediatley, she has always been there for me and when the time comes when she needs me the most, I am letting her down. And then come to find out, this might not of happened if I would of had her spayed. I didnt know...honestly, I REALLY didnt know. I thought you only needed to spay your dog to prevent puppies. She in a totally inside dog, so I didnt think I needed to do that. I DO NOW!! and I have another dog Britney, she is 5...I WILL be getting her spayed as soon as I save enough money, I promise. This is a wonderful site and I am happy to of found it, even if they cant help her, I plan on being a part of this community. Let me tell you a little about my babies...I was at the Flea Mkt and a puppy just wandered over to my car and jumped in...It was DEcember and cold, so I took her home. I put up flyer, classifieds but never found her owner. She has been my best friend ever since. 5 years ago I was at Walmart...and this cute little white puppy, looked like a dalmation, came right up to me just wagging her tail...Again, I tried to find owner, and ended up keepeing her. Brandy took right to her..They have been best friends ever since too. I live alone and disabled...We are a family...just the 3 of us...and if Brandy dies, it will devistate both me and Britney forever..So if anyone knows of any other way to help her, plese let me know...She needs this surgery to live...ty for listening to our story Here are some pictures of my spoiled girls and some showing with my grandson, who loves them too
