  1. Stopping in to say Hi. Been crazy busy. I have adopted 2 Chis. Their previous owners were elderly and the woman passed away and these two were a bit too much for the man to handle so I adopted them. One is 6 and the other is 3. They are both female. I have to get them UTD on shots and get them spayed. I am getting pretty close to having my "thundering herd of Chihuahuas." I am so happy to see Justice figured out how to get his treats. Dogs are a lot smarter than some people give them credit for. Heck, I think dogs are smarter than some people. LOL. I have taken on making cards for nursing home residents through my church and it's taking up a lot of my time. We also have a nursing home for poor people here and I have been working on things to decorate their rooms. They have nothing on their walls so I am trying to help fix that. It's a lot of work and it's time consuming but I love it. I love staying behind the scenes and doing nice things for others but don't tell anyone. So between my husband, my furbabies, and my little ministry I am pretty busy. And I love every minute of it. The new additions name's are Scooter Cooter for the 6 year old and Jessie Girl for the 3 year old. I didn't pick their names...I just added to them a little. Give Justice skritchies for me and a kiss on his head and ((((hugs)))) to you!
  2. Oh no! Does anyone have a phone number for her? Could it be she moved and whoever is living in her place just wrote that on the envelope and sent it back?
  3. Well Cindy, I think I scare the bejeebers out of them because I do not fall gracefully. I can't seem to do much of anything gracefully...lol. I have a cane but don't use it. When I lived in Ohio I did but I haven't really had to use it since I moved to Texas. Some of it is pride. Sometimes with my balance it will seem as if someone picked the floor/ground up and tilted it because I will just go off sideways and not fall. If I am at church when that happens, I tell everyone that I swear I am not drunk. If I am somewhere else, I will say...didn't you feel that?? Someone tilted the world a little bit!! We have to keep our sense of humor. I always say it's either laugh or cry and I have cried enough. I am glad Justie's doc is giving him a few more weeks to see improvement. Justie WILL improve! It is amazing what puppers can overcome. It's also amazing when the vet will say they can't hear but they sure can hear a treat container being opened. At least that's how my senior dogs are/were....especially my Shelties. Hopefully the storm will switch course and head for Waco, TX. lol I would LOVE to see what these people down here would do if they got dumped on. 15 years in TX and I still miss the snowstorms. Oh well...the chances of that happening are slim to none but I can still hope. Take care of yourself and Justie too. ((((hugs)))) and skritchies
  4. I got up out of bed a couple of weeks ago and fell flat on my face. Then, the other day I was just standing and I fell. I love my balance issues.....NOT. But I do think it's funny when I fall because I scare the bejeebers out of the dogs. They fly in all different directions then wander back to make sure I am ok. I hope you have good weather tomorrow. Justie needs to see his doctor and get some GOOD news... (((huge)))
  5. Just for today......love Justie just as he is. (((((((hugs)))))))
  6. Prayers continuing. (((((hugs)))))
  7. Keeping Justie in our thoughts and prayers. (((((hugs)))))
  8. I am so happy Justie is feeling better. I hope he stays feeling better for a long, LONG, time. We are getting some strange weather here in TX also. It's been a bit warm for December down here which is a good thing because I was putting up outside Christmas decorations. All that is left to do is get extension cords and power strips to light it all up. I will be curious to see how my new addition, Baylee Britches, will act this Christmas. She will get some new toys and I always wrap them. So it will be a new experience for her. She is doing really good with us. She loves her play-dates with my neighbor's dog. I still think about the Chihuahua's I used to take care of at my other neighbors house. I miss them and I sure wish I would get updates but, if I do, they are few and far between. I haven't had one for a while now. My profile pic is one of those Chihuahua's when she was at the rescue I took them to. I hope there won't be too much rain on your next trip to Columbus. Can you believe I have never been there? One of these days I will make it to Columbus to see the Buckeyes play. (((hugs))) to you and skritchies to Justie.
  9. I agree with Kay. Justie WILL be able to go into the big yard when the weather gets nicer for y'all. Our chant will have to change to BIG yard for Justie in the spring!! I hope they figure out what is causing his pain. It's too bad he can't tell you what it is. Our weather is getting cool down here too although I am sure you would think it was nice weather. I swear my blood has thinned out twice the amount since I moved to Texas. It seems as if I get colder faster than everyone else down here. My pack is definitely enjoying the cooler weather though. ((((hugs)))) and skritchies for Justie.
  10. Jones will be fine as QB but I am glad JT's suspension is for only one game. I know JT let everyone down, including himself, and I hope he was taught a valuable lesson from this. He is a kid and sometimes kids do dumb things. The battle of Ohio is on tonight and you can be sure I will be watching and screaming my fool head off. lol Baylee still doesn't understand about me watching football yet. She comes running when I yell "touchdown." We need to keep this going....NO MORE PAIN FOR JUSTIE!!! We WANT the big yard!! We WANT the big yard!!! Justie NEEDS to catch a break and it needs to be NOW!!! ((((((((((hugs)))))))) Skritchies to Justie!
  11. We WANT Justie to feel better. We WANT the big yard....we WANT the big yard!
  12. I wish we would get the pretty fall colors down here in Texas. We had a lot of rain from the hurricane but it didn't knock too many leaves off of the trees. I have been in Texas for 15 years and I still miss the changing of the leaves. I haven't had a trip to Ohio in the fall in a number of years. When I was up last year in November, the leaves were all gone. I need to get up there so I can go to an Ohio State game. Been really busy here getting the new pupper adjusted. She is a monster and we love her to death. I forgot how energetic a 6 month old bigger puppy can be. Of all the pack, she likes playing with the English Bulldog. I have found out that she has some separation anxiety and we are working on that. I think my next addition will be a Chihuahua but that won't happen for a while. I told hubby that one day I am going to have a thundering herd of Chihuahuas. lol I sure wish Justie could be pain free ALL of the time so he could play in the big yard. I bet he enjoys it even if he doesn't get to stay in it very long. Please give him lots of skritchies for me. ((((hugs))))
  13. Buckeyes scared me a bit yesterday but they lit the fire in the 2nd half! WOOT! Go Buckeyes!!
  14. I did add another pup to my pack. She has been with us 1 week today. She is a 5 1/2 month old Pittie pup. She was due to be euthanized at the shelter and a foster mom pulled her. The shelter named her Vega but the foster mom named her Baylee. She is black and white and she looks like she has britches on so we are calling her Baylee Britches. She has made great strides in the week we have had her. It's been a while since I've had a pup in the house and she is keeping everyone on their toes. She has play dates with my neighbor's new dog that was also adopted from the shelter. I believe my neighbor's dog was abused in her past and she doesn't do anything but follow my neighbor around. She doesn't play with toys or anything so Baylee is teaching her how to be a happy dog. It's fun watching the two of them together. I sure hope Justice didn't have a stroke and it was just a bout of vertigo. Please give him skritchies from me. And ((((((((hugs))))))) to everyone there.
  15. I am so sorry to hear of Rusty's passing. I lost one of my Shelties on Aug. 24th and this is the first time I posted about it. I know how big of a hole in our hearts that our furbabies leave when they go to the Rainbow Bridge. She is well and playing with Tuckie and all the other furbabies. ((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))
