Gus is the newest addition to our family. In this picture Gus was sad because one of his sisters was recovering from a procedure and he wanted to be close to her. Gus actually has 2 sisters, both Whippets, Liberty 10 and Sadie 7. Gus unfortunately has been diagnosed with an advanced form of early onset hip dysplasia. We are doing all that we can to ensure our boy can live a happy, healthy, and active life. Gus is going to require surgery and because of our financial status we are having difficulty raising enough money to pay for the surgery. I have unfortunately been on disability due to a spinal injury since 2006 and my husband has been on temporary disability because of a work injury. As stated above, one of our girls, Sadie, had to have exploratory surgery and an ample amount of testing so our Vet bills are stacking up quickly. We have set up an account with GoFundMe, any and all donations would be greatly appreciated. We have also decided to donate any funds raised beyond the cost of Gus' surgery to other families that have puppies with dysplasia and are in need of financial assistance. We plan to do this through the non-profit organization, Hip Dysplasia Funding. You can donate by going to the following link. http://www.gofundme.com/tf436ec Even if you are unable to donate, we would appreciate you sharing Gus' story with family and friends.
